Well, 10KLF let me down this year and if Roo bites, this will be where I go this year. Too far to drive but I can try roughing it for once. How is the camping at this fest? Do they have VIP areas? Who here has flown in? When do they usually come out with the line up? I know, lots of questions, but I don't know much about this fest. Help!!!
Last year it was February 25th. It has not been announced yet this year. I have not camped, but a lot of people do an love it. There is a VIP section. You can learn a lot about the festival at my blog and at message board (which there is a link at the blog) for Sasquatch!

Thank for the info. I have checked out those sources and they do help. Sounds like I will probably buy the super ticket package, if they have that this year again. VIP tickets with premiere camping included. The price is even higher than Roo, but it does include food. If you add food and a camper to Roo it's more. God I hope it doesn't get canceled.

No Band of Horses, but I'm happy. Should be a good time.
It looks a little more than half as good as roo with 15 artists playing from the roo lineup. I would go if I didn't have a job where it depends on Memorial day for business.
There's kind of a cool VIP package you can get also. They have a platform on the main stage for VIP ticket holders. Up close and personal, that's the was I like it. Although a particular band can restrict access to the platform if they want. I hope none of them do. The price for VIP is almost the exact same as Roo. It's cheaper if you are bringing an RV. You don't pay an extra charge for that, it's included. I'm really going to miss Roo though. Every other year, I think is the way to go. Since I'm in the center of the country, everything is fairly close. Have a great time at Roo all!!
Blame the economy. Every time I see a CEO I want to kick his ass. I don't have the funds for both. The lady wanted to see another part of the country too. It figures the year I do this, Roo has the best lineup in history. I will be there in spirit always. Roo was my first fest and will always be the best. You guys can party a little hard to make up for me. ;D I will return next year, you can bank on that.

Well, you got a nice chuck of roo this year with the likes of NIN,TVOTR,YYY's, Ben Harper,The Decemberists, and Badu carrying Sasquatch this year. I wouldn't really feel bad missing out on roo with all of those acts plus Janes, Fleet Foxes, Calexixo,Sunn Kil,Doves and KOL. We want a full report ;-)
interesting how quite a few sasquatch regulars think the lineup is kinda lame, and roo has a bunch of the same bands and most roo regulars love roo's lineup.
i'm still hoping sasquatch will add band of horses. that's the only thing i'm really bummed about.
The one band that stands out to me is Explosions in the Sky. Now we at least know they're playing a festival this year. I'm still holding out hope that Roo books them.
Also, this helps me realize how totally stacked Roo's lineup this year is. Kings of Leon headlining?
