That is a pretty bad ass lineup. I might actually check this out, since it's looking less and less likely that I'll be able to afford Roo this year , and this would be far more practical. At this point, if I go to a big fest, Rothbury seems like the most likely one, or perhaps Lolla if I end up taking that road trip to Chicago my friends and I have talked about.
Other than The Allman Brothers, Girl Talk and Michael Franti and Spearhead, I only know the rest of the bands on a surface level - just a few songs here and there. However, I know pretty much all the bands at least somewhat, with the exceptions of Railroad Earth and the very last line of the bill. But that's okay, there were a ton of acts I wasn't familiar with on the Roo lineup when I bought my ticket last year, and I still had a great time. Hopefully there will be some heady additions to sweeten the pot, too.
Wat an amazing lineup!! I love the roo but I wish I could afford to go to some of the smaller festies too...i just got hella lucky cause the roo is so close to my hometown....yall have fun at the Mtn Jam...wish i was going
We are taking the kids this year. First festival for the kids and my fiancee. I've been doing the summer rounds for 12 years. I'm really looking forward to it.
It's nice living in Western NY. Alot of summer fun in the area.
I have my two tickets for MJ! I am sooo looking forward to going this year! I've never been to this festie and wanted to go lastyear but was sadly in France at the time. This year the tickets have been purchased and I was only kicked off the net 3 times before getting the cheapest ones possible!

sorry Jerz, I didn't answer your question. I didn't see this act back in 2008 but they all toured together just lastyear. I bet this will be an amazing performance.
i wish this fest wasnt always the week before the roo because its so close to home. the two years i have gone i have gone only on sunday. say the duo, gordon, and the jacket the second year on sunday. phil lesh on sunday the year after. was gonna get a pass for sunday last year to see ratdog but didnt.
Yeah I noticed that the board went down! how annoying is that! So do you think that there is a big announcement coming or could it just simply be that they are doing maintenance on the site.
