I started getting my gear together today....can't wait. This will be my first trip to Hunter and first concert at a ski resort (?), interested to see how they set this thing up. It's an awesome lineup for a good price. See you all on Friday!
this will be my first mountain jam as well. I went to Hunter Mountain with my grand paretns a looonnnng time ago... it's gotta be at least 15 years ago at this point. It was during the summer and we rode the chair lift. I don't remember anything besides that LOL. Im sure it's going to be an amazing time and the the lineup is great! I'm counting down the days ;D
By the way, it looks like we are going on the same 2009 festi tour! The only difference is that I am adding on Gathering of the Vibes in my homestate of CT at the end of july. you should think about going to that one too!
Awww....G.O.V has an excellent line up too, there's going to be a lot of dancing going on there. Unfortunately, I've hit my ceiling as far as money and time goes. I had originally pick 3 festival to go to this year, Rothbury was a last min add on since they started selling weekend passes...and, I actually found someone to go with me. The Dead is the biggest draw for me, but into most of the bands there. I'll will probably try some different fests next year, perhaps I'll gather with the Vibes then. I saw CS&N way back in 1987 (I think) at a small venue, was just after David Crosby got out of prison. They'd be fun to see them again. My first Allmans show was in 89' for their 20th anny tour...now it's their 40th anny tour..unbelievable. Yes, I'm old (39) but still like to party and jam out. If you see a short guy with blond hair and a red beard at the MJ...say hi
I'm also volunteering there, but not sure what my job is yet. ???
