With those, PLEASE be careful you don't run out of battery on your car... My bf is warning 800w may not be enough for a coffee maker and if it was, it'd use up your battery super quick.
It's 300w; we plugged an extension cord into it on a trip to the beach, and into the extension cord we plugged a dual-screen dvd player, plus a regular home dvd player (the dvd player built into the dual-screen unit didn't work anymore), and used the 2 usb ports to charge our iphones the whole way. We didn't have any problems with it. I've also used it to plug in my camera's battery charger on the way to events. However, we tried plugging a coffee pot into it one time when our power went out and it tripped it every time we turned on the coffee pot. So, just fyi for anyone reading, 300w isn't enough for coffee. Lol.

Thanks for the heads up. The inverter functions as a booster for the power so you aren't actually using 800w. The version I bought also has an emergency cutoff for when the battery power starts to get low. My coffee maker only uses 650w. It's a small maker. Thanks for the heads up though
Basically it comes down to knowing what you're using it for and being smart when you use it. Most appliances post the wattage on the bottom or the side so always check that out before plugging it in.
If you only paid $15 or so for it at Wal-Mart, I'm adding it to my Wednesday Manchester Wal-Mart List. I would love to have another one, as I fear our weather will not be as cool as it was last year!
Mine was $15 or so in 2011, not sure about now, but probably not more than $20, and I don't know if I would count on finding one in Manchester on Wednesday of Roo week. Maybe they're smart enough to stock up, but if you are counting on having a fan then buying it early might make sense, to be safe. In any case, definitely try to get one somewhere, some time if you are worried about the heat. Perhaps the music gods will bless us again with decent weather, or at least not challenge 2010's heat records. Personally, I expect crazy heat and mostly have it figured out. I just don't want to deal with excess mud, as a fan or hat doesn't help and there is no such thing as spray-on mudscreen.

I have one fan, I was just going to be luxurious and purchase another. And if you have the knowledge, you should think about creating a spray-on mudscreen. What a fantastic idea!

Random noob question here. First timer this summer but still trying to finalize my buying list of stuff for the 4 days. I'm def buying a 4 person Coleman sundome tent for my gf and I, should be enough room for two cots and some gear from the sizing info. Now I am looking at canopies. I've seen the actual EZ up brand 10 x 10 size canopies which should be perfect for GA camping but has anyone tried the Walmart brand ozark trail? I would rather shell out $50 for a canopy that I will pretty much only use at Bonnaroo and a few times throughout the year rather than $100 for the EZ UP brand, I just dont want it to blow away or rip or something during the fest. I plan on using stakes to hammer it down into the ground.
I am also using army cots, army camelbak, and other various army gear/crap. I want to put a tarp down for the tent floor and the canopy floor and maybe one or two just for the hell of it. Wondering where or what the best and most cost efficient tarps are for hanging on the side of the canopy, ground, etc. Thanks for all the help. I'm sure I'll have more questions but that's all for now.
I just bought this 10x10 EZ-UP from Academy for $50! I used an off-brand last year and it actually worked fine..it was around $90 but my ex boyfriend kept it so I bought my own this year. This one seems much, much sturdier and comes with a nice rolling carrier case: check it out!

I love this thread! I ordered the Daystar Camelbak from Sunny Sports yesterday am and it's already been shipped. Now, I must find an E Z Up. I've seen the posts about the Sierra II, but I want one with adjustable height legs, like the Dome II. The cheapest I've found so far is $109 (i think). If I come across any deals I'll be sure to post them.

all the sierra II owners out there, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it have adjustable legs? I own one, but I haven't used it since Bonnaroo, so I'm having trouble remembering specific details. I don't think I've seen a "pop up shelter" that didn't have them. (aside from those awful green canopies with all the poles, but I mean of the "instant canopy" type)

My Siera IIs have 3 height settings. Though there is not a huge difference between the 3. Around 3"-4" between each notch.

That's what I thought. If I remember right, even my "knock off" straight leg 10x10 that I got for $40 from Garden Ridge has adjustable legs.
EDIT: to clarify, the one from Garden Ridge was several years ago. The worst thing about them is the fabric on top is not at all water resisitant.

Nice double cot for couples. It does have a annoying beam down the middle but you can put camp mats or a queen size air mattress on top for a very bed like experience. Great for us with busted backs and/or like to sleep close to their significant other even when camping.

The Sierra II isn't described as having adjustable height legs (ahl). I don't doubt that the legs do adjust, I just wonder if the canopies described as having ahl can lower further than others. I have scoured the internet looking for my answer with no result. I guess I need to call their customer service number.

Further to the post above about the $50 EZ-Up Sierra II at Academy - there are multiple colors (blue, orange, red, maroon, pink, purple!) available online, and shipping is a flat $10.
BUT, if you order the gold color, for some reason it has free shipping
OR, you can go check them out in store and see & touch before you buy; this time last year I saw them in store for the same price so I'm fairly confident you'll find the same.
How did you do the paint? Just drip it in and then roll the jar around? Where do you get spray adhesive? I'm seriously making the glitter one, it looks like little glowing flecks suspended in some kind of gel!
