I just got my tickets for Burning Man in the mail!!!! eeeeeee!!! hahaha! soooo is anyone heading to Bonnaroo and Burning Man this year??! I would be fantastic to meet some of you adventurous peeps! This is my 3rd year to ROO but my 1st to the Playa! ;D

Awesome, you'll have a blast! Unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to make it to Alchemy this year, so I'm putting my chips toward Afterburn in Florida.
Burns are amazing though, I can promise you that you will be hooked after you go.

I know this is an old thread, but I am new to inforoo and this is my first post. And my first ROO! So excited! I went to see the Man the past two years and it is nothing like anything any of you have said it is, It is BETTER! Burning Man ROCKS! The focus is more on art and self expression and self reliance. You take care of yourself, nobody else does(an idea this world seems to be lacking). You bring you own food, water, and shelter for a week in the desert. Conditions can be harsh. Wind, dust, heat, cold(at night), and maybe rain. you have to prepare for all of these conditions, did I mention dust? If anyone wants to go to Burning Man, go for the whole week. It is built on community involvement. As burners we make the city, bonds and relationship are built those first hours/days. A whole community is built in a week and arriving mid week is no good, even frowned upon. Go from Monday to Monday, you will not regret it. Last, if you want to go to Burning Man, Prepare. Read. Educate yourself as much as possible on survival on the Playa in Black Rock City. I have soooooo much more to say about Burning Man, but this is enough for now. Scrog
