I agree with buying the frozen lemonade. 2008 was our second year and my boyfriend and I couldn't wait to get one. When it's as hot as it has been the past 2 years at bonnaroo anything that is cold and thirstquenching is amazing especially if you have the cotton chops.

To bring: A frisbee. The daytime shows are hot and most likely not too much dancing going on. Sitting out in the heat can get miserable fast. A frisbee is not only going to keep you and a friend busy but you'll make friends in no time. Everyone loves a frisbee!
To buy: If you're a beer drinker, try a beer you've never had. I'm from the land of sweet water but a lot of people have never had it before and roo always sells sweet water. Sweet water blue is my choice.

A towel
You can soak it in water and wear it on your head to cool you off. It's also good to cover your head/shoulder/neck area to avoid sunburn or reduce getting anymore. Usually have a towel with me everywhere i go (in bonnaroo)

Bring: Extra sunglasses!!! The last two years I went to roo I destroyed my sunglasses in a corned state of mind, and it sucked pretty bad lol.
Buy: A gyro!! Omg they were amazing!!! The best I've ever had! Plus on the last day when Centeroo was winding down we were walking by the stand and they guy sold us gyros for like a buck. It was sweet.
Oh yeah, and the beer tent is a must.. they had the best apple cider

Did you have a long drive to the farm?
I want to bring fruits, but like, I'll have a 20 hour drive. How would I keep them fresh?

Pick up your fruit locally. There are grocery stores on either side of Manchester and they are totally prepared for Bonnaroo visitors. Why waste gas with a loaded vehicle. Arrive a little early and stock up. Prices weren't bad at all. Also, if you are bringing tobacco, wait until you are in TN to buy. It's cheap in tobacco country....

yes yes YES!
Freeze ALL your bottled water...but start like a week early...it does take longer to freeze than you would think esp if you are doing cases of the stuff... AND have limited freezer space. And invest in at least one good 5 day cooler to keep said frozen water bottles in...it is SOO worth it...also dry ice is a good investment...they sell it at most Krogers and Publix super markets around here and most likely other name brand supers...
Also...the advice on tees is spot on! If you see an "official" Bonnaroo tee you simply MUST have...get it by late Friday or early Sat latest...they WILL sell out of most of the popular styles and will NOT restock 90% of them....so you def want to buy early to make sure you get your MUST HAVES....if you don't really care...wait till Sunday and get a cheap bootleg tee...they will be hawking them throughout the campsites and on shakedown for $5 or less...sometimes 3 for $10 if you catch them right at the end....but the sizes/styles will be VERY limited....
And Sweetwater RULES! Esp Sweetwater Blue! If you haven't tried it yet....it is a MUST!
Sweetwater is awesome stuff. Living in Atlanta I am lucky enough to find it all over the place. I recommend Sweetwater to anyone looking for some great beer.
Don't forget the glow stuff. We purchased a whole bunch of glow stuff at a dollar discount store before going to Roo and had a great time with it.

Sweetwater is impossible to get in Texas, next time I am bringing back as much as i can bring home. And yes, 5-day coolers are an absolute necessity, completely worthwhile investment. And although rules may be against it, fireworks on sunday night at the farm kicks ass.

No i am about an hour drive so its not that bad...but just put the stuff like grapes and strawberries in one of those glad containers in a cooler...oranges bananas apples should be good in a bag or in the cooler either one...
or better yet just wait till you get to the last exit before Manchester...Murfreesboro or I think Winchester coming in from Chattanooga and stop at a market and grab em! I am telling you it is worth it! ;D
