With the lineup not too far away I've been finding ways to kill time. Bonnaroo tends to be a pretty covers-friendly festival, so I pose this topic for discussion.
What songs would be perfect for certain bands to cover? Or what covers have you seen artists perform that blew your mind? At a concert, festival, on an album, whatever.
To get things started I'd really like to see
Arcade Fire cover "Road to Nowhere"
Beastie Boys cover "Killing in the Name" (I think they're the only band that could cover Rage)

Raconteurs did Bang Bang(My Baby Shoy Me Down) (originally Nancy Sinatra i believe) aka the Kill Bill Song during their first US tour. Freaking amazing
I enjoy a good cover tune, but Ill need to see the lineup before I could begin to venture in this kinda territory. The Decemberists doing "The Weight" with Mavis Staples in '07 was magnificent.
Pearl Jam closed with a great All Along the Watchtower
That was epic ;D As soon as I heard the opening chords, I knew that's what they were playing. I was practically druq to see PJ and was totally blown away, and that cover is the number one reason why.
I always thought it'd be cool to see Modest Mouse cover Fat Bottomed Girls, I'd love to hear that song at Roo
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
The best thing about war pigs in 2007 was I heard the flips play it for sound check and then 4 hours later Gov't Mule played it, Generals gathered in their masses that night I can assure you.

Pearl Jam's covers last year were great, esp. Crazy Mary.
Ween's covers always kill. Personal favs have included Band on the Run, Ace of Spades, Hey Bulldog and The Enabler.
If Ween doesn't play Roo, I'll bet Phish breaks out Roses are Free.
The Residents have (IMO) the most origional cover versions (if that makes any sense). Their versions of Satisfaction, This is a Mans World, Flying, Rhapsody in Blue and The Liberty Bell March (just to name a very few) take the tunes into some very strange and origional territory.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
