Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Actually, that looks really nice. It's a bit heavy on headliners, but after seeing Coachella's less-than-stellar lineup, I have a feeling that Roo could just own any other festival this year.
Im going to have to back you up on this one man.....
I was a moderate Guster fan and I saw them like maybe a year or two ago and they melted me.....yes Guster...melted to thin liquid
Besides the fact that I was trippin around everywhere it still would have rocked my face off...they all rotated instruments on almost evry track and shredded some too...surprising but awesome Just don't hate fool
I saw Brett Dennen last night at the variety. Sold out show, which surprised me. Lots of people in their mid-twenties to mid-forties. A LOT of very good looking women (outnumbered men 3 to 1). The dude has a lot of soul for a white boy. I mean WHITE. The whitest of white... but the guy can sing. Great show, don't miss him at Bonnaroo.

Why does nearly every poster I've seen top bill Springsteen over Phish. I personally like Springsteen more but there is no way Phish is not top billed, especially at Bonnaroo.

Because I could fit "Phish" on the same line with the other headliners and not "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band." Also, I do think that Springsteen will get top bill . . . he covers a MUCH wider fan base.

You have to remember, the Boss is the more popular act, what I mean is that his career has been longer, he has made more money, he is more of a legend/icon than Phish is, he's playing the Superbowl tomorrow
remember last year - jack johnson was listed higher than panic - kind of the same deal, i mean he's more of a pop culture icon, even though panic has been around like 3 or 4 times longer than jack, they have been more successful i'd say, but it didn't take jack that long to reach his success compared to how long it took panic
you basically have to look at it as, who is more of a pop culture icon, whose name would the general public recognize more, lets say mtv mentions the bonnaroo lineup or something - the general public who watches mtv (and i'm not sure why they do, it sucks) - the general public is more likely to recognize the boss and jack johnson, rather than bands like panic and phish

I still don't know why there are absolutely no channels that appeal to good indie/alternative/underground/jamband/eletronic/etc. music out there. Is it not profitable... even with all of the pop. music stations in existance?
Fuse started off as an alternative channel... and slowly added more and more programming that turned it into just another pop. music station.
MTV2 started off as a rock station... and is now the recipient of old MTV programming.
MTVU even started off as alternative programming... and its quickly losing its last redeeming quality (though you can still catch good bands on there... such as Foals, Lykke Li, Cold War Kids, etc... but you gotta wait out a few rap songs from J-Lo and whatnot to get there).
VH1 Hits... wasn't too bad... it covered the more adult popular music... and you would find some good stuff on there every once in a while... like Jack Johnson, Feist, Ben Harper, etc... but it got replaced.

i stay away from music television, unless its austin city limits on the local cable access channel, although a more recent one they showed was foo fighters, probably because they headlined the festival last year, i'm not sure when this was taped, but i don't really care for the foo fighters
as for music on the radio, npr stations are the way to go, world cafe with david dye everyday at 3pm, saturday nights have the golden road followed by the grateful dead hour, friday night usually has blues, there's always jazz on during the latenights
for anyone near cincinnati or northern kentucky, 89.7 wnku is the only good remaining station, webn 102.7 is god awful, i mean its been the same for my entire life, ac/dc, black sabbath and metallica every like 10-15 songs, clear channel sucks, they tell certain radio stations what they have to play and how many songs they are allowed to play in an hour
everyone needs to see the movie "before the music dies", they show some footage from bonnaroo in it
I've actually heard they're going to headline the Outside Lands Festival instead of Roo. Which makes total sense to me. What is a San Francisco music festival without The Dead?
