I know I'm gonna get bashed for this, as I know most will say Bonnaroo isn't the same if you don't camp, but I'm leaning towards staying in a hotel this year.
I stayed in VIP the past 2 years, and for my gf and I think we're better off in a hotel. We come with no RV, and with a hotel we'll be able to sleep in (while not having to be awake at 7am from the sun and in turn be able to stay up late for the late night music). Kanye keeping me up until 6am last year was brutle.
Anyways I'm curious about 2 things:
1) Can you recommend some good hotels in Manchester - at least some that still have availability?
2) What is the best way to get into Centeroo everyday is you don't camp (shuttle, park and walk, etc.)?

I can't offer you any advice. I just want to say that I don't think anyone will/should bash you for your decision. You want to be there for the music and you're making the best choices you can to see the music. Case closed.
My guess by now is Manchester is all booked up. If you plan on driving in to the festival everyday I would say check Tullahoma (next to Manchester). They seem to have some rooms available.
Expedia,Priceline,whatnots. I use Kayak.

i've heard people say in the past that you can't get OUT of roo on thursday night at all (since so many are still coming in?), so you may want to take some essentials in case you get stuck on the farm for the night. or maybe work out a place to park offsite (ahead of time) on thursday and walk in.
and if this was no longer the case last year, completely ignore me ;D

Pretty sure every place in Manchester is already booked by now. I would try Murfreesboro. It's a pretty big town and I think it's not even 30 minutes away.
You can drive in every day and let them know at the gate that you are day parking. you wil not have any issue with traffic. There is a special field right there for people who leave every night. I have done it for the past 2 years. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to Centeroo from day parking. The only problem is that you apparently cannot leave on Thursday night because traffic is still coming in - so we have missed Thursday nights. I did however see people in day parking with tents next to their cars so I assume they planned on just staying on Thursday and no one had an issue with them setting up a tent there....
It is really really nice to leave and have a good nights sleep and take a shower and be refreshed by noon the next day to start over again. We drove an hour each way every day and it worked out fine.

Thanks you all for the suggestions. I looked at hotels in Tullahoma and Murfreesboro, and although Tullahoma is closer it seems Murfreesboro has more to choose from.
Also, thanks for pointing out not being able to leave on Thursday. There's no way I will miss music on Thursday night, but I'm sure I'll find a solution.
Thanks again and Karma - well only got one, so I'll give it to the DMB fan...gotta love BTCS!
Bonnaroo has offered packages in the past they willl have more as time gets closer. I talked to someone a few years ago that stayed in Manchester, I think the Holiday Inn and a lot of the performers were staying there.

Haha ty ;D Good luck with your planning and let me know if you have any local questions because I live in Nashville.
We did the VIP Hotel Package in 2006. It was nice for all the reasons you mentioned. They had a free shuttle that ran throughout the day between the site and the hotel. Worked out pretty well. The VIP tix were so steep this year we decided to camp. But If I could I would do the VIP Hotel again.
i say no to hotels!!!!!!!!!! camp out broski. stay at camp inforoo so you'll have some people to kick it with if you feel lonely. plus they're all so nice and whats theirs is yours if you need anything. its so awesome.

I stayed at a hotel in Tullahoma one year (not my choice). We had zero problems getting in or out on any of the days - Thursday night included. People will troy to tell you Day Parking is not available on Thursdays or that you can't get out Thursday night but that's not true. However, almost none of the workers will know where Day Parking is on Thursday so you'll have to search out on your own via the map.
The year we stayed in a hotel we also set up a mini-camp with a canopee and a couple chairs in an empty parking space near "tent only" so we could have a place to hang out, drink, etc. during down time. We parked in Day Parking every day, walked to our mini-camp, and went from there.
It was nice sleeping in air conditioning and getting Taco Bell on the way in every day but I wouldn't do it again.
