i'm undecided about that one. i know oakenfold is the bigger name and would be the late night "headliner" but i think last year they did something like that and had another act playing after the late night headliner?
Girl Talk will open for whoever the big "headlining" electronic act is which it appears to be Oakenfold at this point. Girl Talk's sets are only good for about an hour. He never really plays for more than an hour at any of the shows Ive seen him at. he may go 1.5 if he's the "headliner", but not enough to have that late night spot. They want to leave that last spot for someone who has no trouble going 3.5 hours+.
To add, Im speculating not arguing
He has become the festival whore this year, but he is still high in demand and will probably play moe than a hour. If you go to the main page on Bonnaroo's website you can see they are now hyping (pimping if you will) up his show by having a costume contest.

yea I saw that....still he's not made to be the dj that throws down the epic sets like Sasha or Shadow. He may play more than an hour Im not denying that, but he wont have that late night epic electronic slot

I'm gonna be super pissed if Booker T and the DBT's conflict with MGMT, thats if the 5 pm times listed are correct on both of their myspace's which I could see happening. I will be very sad because I need to hear me some Green Onions life but man was I blown away by the mgmt show last year

i wouldnt be surprised if we saw a longer girl talk set than most of us are expecting too. hes done most of the festivals now, and his first huge show was bonnaroo in 07. i think theres a slim chance he may try to play a longer set than he usually does.
but oakenfold is obviously still the big name on the electronic shit.
i honestly wouldnt be surprised if we see a crystal castles / girl talk stage opposite a stage for just oakenfold.
they need to add sts9 they will play for 3.5 hours no problem!
An STS9 addition would not only be great, but pretty likely given their prior appearances and the need for some additional electronic acts on the lineup.

LOve your list! I hope that your right about that moe, phish, the beasties, and snoop dogg dont conflict with each other. The only thing that kinda sucks is that ben harper is playing a late night set which conflicts with moe. But as my second fav band ever it will be moe. hands down!
Yeh me too....thursday is looking like there either bands I have never heard of or grace potter who even though I have given her a chance just isnt my cup of tea. I hope someone really awesome gets put on thursday night. Or I guess I can check out some awesome people I never heard of.....

i think its looking like on thursday we'll have:
of course the jazz tent and troo music lounge
but i think with this, that & other we'll have:
1. one tent being all or nearly all alt/indie and/or electronica acts 2. another being all or nearly all hip-hop/reggae and/or world music acts 3. the last one being all or nearly all acoustic/country/folk and./or rock acts

yeah, i understand getting there late, especially because the lines, and they do the best they can, so they don't want to punish you for the wait. But they have no reason to not stack Sunday. Maybe if they did, people wouldn't tend to leave as early, because they would think it was worth sticking around. I know a lot of people have work on Monday, but there were a bunch of people around us that left Sunday afternoon because they didn't feel like staying for WSP.
2/5- Papadosio 3/3- MUSE 3/12- John Mayer 3/19- The Werks 3/31- Passion Pit 4/18- Ben Folds 4/20- Against Me! 6/10- Bonnaroo 6/30- Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey
I love your Holy F*ck addition, that mock schedule would be pretty damn near perfect
Yeah I agree, really hoping for a Holy F*ck add. Caught them at Lolla last year without having heard of them and they were awsome and that was at 12:00. Imagine them in a tent late on Thursday night, that would be epic.
and I really really hope they add some artists for Sunday because it is waaaaaaaaay weak so far.

my favorite day will definetly be saturday if that list is right. I will just be at odds with the rodygab and andrew bird. I really wanna see andrew bird but will definetly go to see rodygab if thats the conflict.
