I am of legal drinking age(21 just barely), but will have a few minors with me when we enter. I assume it is ok if I have alcohol as long as it falls into the guidelines?

i think the only real rule about it is that you can only have 3 cases per person...not that I would recommend drinking 3 cases o beer during the weekend. but hey its your bonnaroo, do what you will.
But i echo the sentiments of drinking one cup of water for every brew you drink

^definitely. People don't realize you actually have to WORK at staying hydrated. I'll echo what was being said earlier in another thread, save most of your drinking for when the sun goes down. And lookout for your buds!

Hydration is as big of a key when drinking as it is when your...well you know what I'm getting at, especially in the 95-105 degree heat! I usually wear a camelpak to keep me hydrated during drinking sessions!
P.S. I found out the hard way about thinking you can use the Camelpak for the alcohol. Its not a good idea in the heat

Eeee I bet not. It would be hard to gauge how much intake is going on that way!
I know we had a guy with us in '07 that ended up missing almost every late night throwdown from going at it too hard during the day. He still talks about regretting it. As stated above though, it's your Bonnaroo, do what you will.
my crews plan for this year is to have a super sweet campsite and stay there all morning and for most of the afternoon to cut back on walking/sore feet/ and staying out of the sun during the day... that way we will be ready willing and able to boogie downnnnnnnnn at night... wayyyyyyyyyyy down.
Lets be honest...Bonnaroo in a lot of ways is an endurance event and the key to ANY endurance event is pacing. It is possible to rock out both during the day AND at night - I've done it every year. As has been mentioned by many smart people already in this thread, you just have to take good care of yourself. Eat enough, balance your booze with your water, get out of the sun for little while each day and just be conscious of your intake level of anything else.
Do that and there's no reason that a modestly healthy person shouldn't be able to go all day at 'Roo.

I went too hard before Metallica last year, and certainly paid for it the following morning.
All the things you want when hungover (sleep, comfortable temperature, quiet, and comfortable bed/couch) simply aren't available when waking up on the farm.
So before you go to hard, make sure you honestly consider what the next day will feel like!
My approach is to drink once the sun starts to go down, then head into centeroo to see a couple hours of music, maybe buy a few more beers, and then settle down for the late night show. By the time the late night is over you are decently sober and can make your way back to your tent to recover for the next day.
As far as water intake, I try to consume 2 full gallons of water per day at the roo.....sometimes I fall short but I certainly feel better when I do!

The comedy tent was pretty decent for hangover recovery. Air conditioning is niiiiice.

I didnt have 1 water all weekend, I had a gatorade (16oz) to start each day off then went straight to a 32oz Bloody mary (12oz of Vodka) then did beer for the rest of the day, i cheated and had a couple frozen lemonades but the heat and stuff didnt get to me like everyone else
i start my morning with about 6-8 beers, then i pound water and gatorade usually all day and night while other things are affecting my brain activities.

That is how I did waka last year, but that was 70 degrees, so I will just roll with it.

I always wake up, get a little breakfast in me. Then it's 2 or 3 beers, 2 shots, and into Centeroo. The next hour I'm pretty buzzed. From then on It's 2 gulps of beer to 1 gulp of water.

My ride didnt have room for jello shots, 3 people in a little Camery. I just bought an extended trailblazer so im all about jello shots this time aroud
I usually go through 1 2.5gal Party Pig of good strong home/craft brewed, and 2-3 cases of PBR over the course of the weekend. I never get smashed though just one or two an hour.
