I was at the sink washing some dishes today and a very eerie thing happened. My itunes played three consecutive songs from Okonokos live...and it was on shuffle. It didn't really dawn on me at first, because the songs almost seemed to meld together. After that I got really sad, because even though I like this year's lineup, it doesn't seem complete without MMJ. I broke a pint glass just thinking about it, and now I'm bleeding on my keyboard.

This is by far and away a better lineup than last year, but I too am saddened to know that I'll never have a better Bonnaroo experience than last year's epic rain making performance.

See, you never know. Thats the wonder of Bonnaroo, and the Magic of the Which Stage. I thought that in 05, then 06 happened, and i thought that in 06, then 07 happened, and i thought that in 07 and we all know what went down in 08. So i'm not making that assumption this year cause i know not too, and Phish will be there.

I would love a Jim James set during the day but im almost glad MMJ isnt on the lineup this year. Only because that makes 4 hours that i can see other late night acts ;D

I was lucky enough to see Jim James play a solo set at the Newport Folk Festival last year and it was amazing... such an enchanting aura. It's pretty impressive what one can express with an acoustic guitar and an Omnichord. (Ironically, much like last year's Bonnaroo show, it was raining like the Dickens). I also go to see JJ sit in with Calexico and She and Him that weekend. If MMJ isn't touring this summer, a Jim James mini-tour would be sweet.
