in 2006 we saw dudes using an actual casket as a cooler all full of beer and ice and they lost control of it on the hill. it came sliding down the hill at warp speed clipping tents with a dude riding it. it was pretty crazy. there was also a dude trying to surf a red rider wagon down the hill with the pond at the bottom with the goal of launching into that nasty pond. it was right after grab let out and there had to be 1500 people cheering him on. he almost died 5 times and gave up. but it was pretty entertaining. so im down to check out a tire roll for sure.

^^Haha when we were walking back from DSO on Spunday last year right after I came out of my coma we were walking down that somewhat narrow path going right along that murky pond and this kid came so close to just falling over straight sideways into the pond. I'm not sure if everyone behind him was cheering for him to fall over or cheering that he was able to recover his sudden loss of balance without falling.
gf and i are gonna cash our roo txts for mountain jam and all good this year...two for the price of one....then go for a walk about in my old stomping grounds along the blue ridge parkway and outer banks....
she's harshing on the heat, hygiene issues, and massive crowds of roo...i'm really sad b/c the lineup has a bunch of bucket list names for me, but compromise is the mother of ... idk just made that up.

while it sucks you want to go and have to miss Roo........think about the positives. you get to have twice the experience, see double the shows, and not deal with harsh harsh heat and MASSIVE crowds. I love Roo.....wouldn't change a thing........but you should still have TONS of fun with the girlfriend and being at two separate fests.
have a good time man. i wish i could afford/get time off to go to more festivals each summer

I'm struggling with how I'm supposed to survive a fest when I'm kicking it off with Keller solo > Lotus > Boombox.
All three of those are knockout performances. I've planned on seeing Boombox twice now, and both times fell thru. Once they had to cancel for some reason, and the 2nd time the venue was shut down before they played so the show was cancelled. Third time better be the charm
yeah how the hell does keller and lotus get thurs. performances? not complaining at all, it will be a kickass time. i remember last year thurs. was one of the funnest days I had there...not so many people, great vibe all around. This year thursday is gonna be off the chain with lotus and keller. i'm gonna have to check out boombox, never heard of them
