Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
At first I was going to go and bring the kids. Then I found out I was pregnant with baby number 3 and decided I wanted to go without the kids one last time. Then I remembered the hills.
Now I don't know if I want to go if there is a chance that I will be have to walk up and down those hills at 7 months. I wonder if they will still let me camp in the family camp eventhough I would have and actual kid at my side.
Or maybe I'll just stick to the original plan and make it a family vacation.
Budget 100 bucks for he taxis if you are going and are pregnant.
Also, google wasn't very helpful so I have more questions: 1.) Does any one have a map of the venue? I know theres two stages and its in the mountains but I'm trying to get a better Idea of the setup of the festival 2.) Camping: If I bring the usual Roo camping gear to Allgood will I be pretty well covered (ie tent, ez up, etc) Anything I should bring that I wouldn't have at ROO? 3.) Food: I'm assuming they have vendors there? I usually bring some food and buy some food from vendors; plausible? 4.) Corn: This kinda goes along with the link, i was wondering if its pretty easy to run across corn vendors there if I wasn't able to find all the party favors in my hometown. If so, then same deal as Roo just keep your ears open?
I wouldn't think much of it at all. It is funny that it took them this long to "figure it out" though!

Here's the best I could do with labeling. Everything not labeled is either camping or shakedown. Notice camping is intertwined with some of the stages. The ropeadope stage, especially is where the magic happens. Usually consists of an unknown schedule all day with sometimes unannounced artists and/or collaborations.

Bring warmer clothes. It gets downright cold at night. Also, bring all the glowies and other fun toys that Roo didn't let you bring into Centeroo. Reminds me of a favorite quote of mine last year:
Security at gates to stages: "What's that?" (points to item that looks sorta like a bottle rocket) AllGooder: "Oh it's like a confetti cannon you whirl it around like this and tons of confetti shoots out and it goes everywhere!" Security: "AWESOME!!! Have fun man!"
3.) Food: I'm assuming they have vendors there? I usually bring some food and buy some food from vendors; plausible?
Lots of food. Lots of good food. Chinese, pizza, hot dogs, burritos... You won't go hungry.
4.) Corn: This kinda goes along with the link, i was wondering if its pretty easy to run across corn vendors there if I wasn't able to find all the party favors in my hometown. If so, then same deal as Roo just keep your ears open?
*same response as jess* All I'm saying to that is no, this isn't the same deal as Roo. You don't even have to keep your ears or eyes open. Just keep breathing.
hahaha between ya'lls replys and breifly looking/reading through the allgood 2008 thread and seeing some of the pictures posted their I've pretty much made my mind up to buy a ticket for this year. Just hope I can get someone to come with, I need a wingman...

Yes!
Here is a view of the stages from about halfway up the hill
Thats it, I'm doing it, It is DONE! Just finished reading through the allgood 2008 aftermath thread and it looked like a rediculously good time. Wish I could've seen what the coffee shop looked like that ya'll were talking about.
buying the ticket tomorrow after I get paid. So stoked!

All you have to do is just sit at your camp for at least 5 minutes. Someone will come.
oh... I've said this before, I'll say it again, and I'll say it again before AllGood gets here.
I cannot emphasize this enough.
DRIVE CLEAN ON 68, especially in Maryland between the Cumberland area and the W.VA line.
Its no joke, seriously. Count on being pulled over, count on having done nothing wrong, count on dogs being there. Am I trying to scare you? YES I AM! This is NO JOKE!
Don't speed.
Use your signals
Watch the hills, they're waiting at the bottom and they'll flat out LIE about you going 1mph over the speed limit or changing lanes without signaling. Once again, THEY WILL HAVE DOGS, they will not ask you if its ok to walk the dog around your car.. they'll just do it while you're waiting for your ticket.
This advice applies for returning from the festival as well.
If you do not heed this warning and you get in trouble, you will find no sympathy.

This is good to know!!! I'll be riding clean, from what I've been hearing I won't need to bring anything with me anyway.

I strongly disagree about the lax security at AllGood.
I went last year. I'm clean cut and don't do illegal things. Was listening to the oldies station in the line to get in and not some crunchy jams. They searched my van (rented white 2006 Chevrolet Express cargo) for 5 minutes. Went through everything. I didn't even have much gear since I was flying solo--ez-up, tarps, cot, cooler, camp chairs, big bag o blankets and clothes.
Then after DarkStar they handed out garbage bags and asked us to pick up all the garbage on the hill. So a bunch of us did. Amazing experience. So at the end when the hill was just about spotless, groups started gathering together to chat a bit and exchange some really good clean vibes that everyone felt after a great DarkStar show and a good community trash pickup. It was late night Saturday for goodness sake! It was time to bond over how damn clean that hill was. 30 security guys come across the field in a big line clearing everyone out. Big scary dudes. Yelling. Angry faces. Arms waving as if to say "Get out!"
Also during the fest I liked to go wander around that big open hill with the WELCOME TO ALLGOOD letters on it. A couple of times I was chased out of there.
I'm not looking for 10 people to respond saying "oh i did whatever I wanted!" Think that would be a little...counterproductive.
C'mon, let's not help promote the belief that it's a free for all where all you have to do is ring a bell and the waiter brings a tray. Talk of lax security just dares them to try harder.
That said, AllGood has got to be the best mid-size festival out there. It's safe, secure, welcoming, and the lineup this year is SICK. Don't miss it.

They did not search us at all on entrance just asked if we had any glass. Still one guy in a cargo van is bound to draw attention. Saturday we got chased out after darkstar while lordrockinhood and myself were trying to revive Strum, but they gave us plenty of time to do so, after all they do have to close the venue each night so they can do maintenance for the next day. The only place with less security is camp zoe so I have to give them props for that.
