Going to Bonnaroo this year for the first time, can fit two more people in my car and I'm leaving from the Buffalo area. If anyone is interested let me know! Currently it is me and two other girls.
hey! I'm going to have to assume that your name is a Tragically Hip referance. That's incredibly cool if it is. I think people in Buffalo and Detroit are about the only Americans who appreciate The Hip.
And just so my post isn't totally useless for once, I'll send a link to this thread to someone from the Buffalo area that I'm pretty sure was looking for other people from the area heading to Bonnaroo. You guys might be able to work something out.

Hey!
He sent me!
I'm from Buffalo, but probably leaving from Binghamton-ish area. We should keep in touch though, we're planning on renting a car but if that fails / becomes too expensive, me and my friend (both girls) will need a ride.
=] it's also our first roo woooo, we're too excited.
anyways, what a coincidence, or not. what part of buffalo?
wooow this is crazy to see people from buffalo going to roo...for you first timers you are gonna have the time of your lives...i got two cars in my group going up this year unfortunately they are both full but if anybody wants to follow us up that would be cool. let me know!
Im in Rochester, but might be picking up a friend from the buffalo airport. That or I am going alone, but either way I have extra room in my car or would love to get a ride with someone. Will be my first roo, have my ticket and am determined to make it to the farm this year.

I'd be down for followin you =] I have a GPS but I'm still kind of worried about getting lost. Especially closer to the exits in TN.
i was worried about that last year too but its really only like 3 diff. highways the whole way there we got there with no problems and everyone in my car is terrible with directions we all should definetely stay in touch about going down together or at least meeting up in manchester because you camp next to the people you drive in with so that would be cool to camp with some buffalo people

Wow I didn't know so many people from Buffalo are going to roo, how cool. Hey skiny what high school did you go to? This is the first time I've ever seen amherst ny mentioned on the boards haha.
and i just graduated from alden high school last year this is cool gotta love buffalo
Man you're school was always getting closed. I would always wait to see if amherst got closed and it always went from alden to something else. Whenever I think of alden I think of missed snow days haha.
Coming from Rochester. Its gonna be my first Roo. I think I'm going it alone and may need someone to ride with, flying is not looking like a good option anymore.

Oh man. I saw him last night on CNN. I felt like crying when he was saying he has no clue how to explain to his boys what happened. I'm really shocked by this, though. I live about 5 minutes from the airport in Rochester and have had dreams since I was a kid about this happening here.

that's frightening.
A plane went down around about a 1/2 mile from my house a few years back. It was a one person Cessna, so the loss of life wasn't as large, but you don't know that when you hear it. I live in an area that is directly under a pretty busy flight path towards an international airport, so there are a lot of planes flying overhead every day. You could hear this one stuggling followed by the boom and the smoke. Extremely frightenning considering how many people I know in the area and the fact that my mom's place of emplyment is right in the area that the crash happened. A lof of credit has to go to the pilot. Unfortunately she died, but she managed to crash onto a set of train tracks in the most densly populated area of Winnipeg, about 1/4 mile from the busiest part of downtown. There could have been some serious casualties on the ground if it weren't for her actions.
I work for Shanor Electric. A few of our contractors live out that way. One of our sales reps lost someone on the plane. It was a wierd day at Shanor because everyone was talking about it all day.

I live in Lockport, and am going with two others(1 of each gender, lol) Anyways, maybe we could arrange for a mass caravan to meet at some exit off of the I-90. I went last year, and the trip wasnt too bad, except we were sideswiped by a semi in Kentucky, which delayed the trip two hours. We made it back in 12-13 hours, with no delays. And thanks to the wonders of GPS. I will keep an eye on this thread, to see if people would be down for such a thing. I believe we will be leaving Wednesday between 5 and 7 pm. Private message or email me if you would like to talk about any of this stuff. Later on fellow New Yorkers!
Uh, here's another RIT student going to 'Roo (3rd year CJ major). I went last year as well. I'm not 100% sure of my plans yet, but I think a couple friends from RIT might be doing this as well.
