My fitbit has been on the fritz for weeks now, but I just ordered a new one! In-store pickup, so hopefully I'll have a fully functioning fitbit again this afternoon! Woohoo!
They're pretty solid on replacing them for free . I'd give them a call.

This actually was a free replacement haha. I kind of wanted to upgrade anyway.
Also, I am a wimp when it comes to that sort of thing. I literally just hung up the phone with Verizon crying. I can't handle conflict.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Lol, I'm the complete opposite. I love confrontation on the phone and in emails/reviews. Put me face to face with someone though, complete wimp. It's why whenever I buy vehicles I'll go test drive, talk price, then leave. Next day I'll wait for them to call me and hash out the details over the phone.
Not trying to lose weight but I started running again last week to get me in shape for bonnaroo and firefly back to back weekends.
I did Roo/FF back to back in 2013. Obviously the better shape you're in the better off you'll be, but honestly I didn't find it nearly as exhausting as I thought it'd be. I got one good night's sleep and then I was good to go for Firefly.

Good to know! Should be fun even though both lineups are slightly disappointing.
Managed to go to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom this weekend and then work today without feeling like complete death. Thanks, gym!
Taking advantage of that Florida Resident offer are we? It's funny, I did two days this past weekend too, but the other two parks. Doing Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on May 20 and 21.

Yep! Got it for my girlfriend as a graduation present. We did MK last Saturday and AK last Sunday, doing Epcot this Saturday!

I started doing keto chow about 4 weeks ago for two meals a day, coupled with generally a HFLC diet, although I've had some carbs with certain meals (little bit of rice with thai food, few bites of cornbread with BBQ, etc.) with HIIT three times a week on the aerodyne. Starting weight 198 pounds, 36 y/o male. Down five pounds as of last Friday, but more importantly I'm wearing a shirt today that hasn't fit me in eighteen months. Feel great, high energy, real easy to exercise after work.
As much as I love carbs and shit, I'm convinced that HFLC is the way my body wants me to eat.

Started doing the pescetarian thing recently, though I'll eat a burger or whatever if someone makes it for me. Don't want to be a drag or pain in the ass for people.
Trying to cut back on beer, as well, but that's no fun.

the wife and I went full vegetarian for about 8 or 9 months; then she got pregnant and had gestational diabetes and beans and greens with no carbs just wasn't cutting it for her so we went back to meat. Since my son was born though we have been doing a lot more vegetarian meals and only eating meat about once a week, if that. Growing up I would always think I could never be a vegetarian, but it really isn't bad at all; I still make delicious dinners and it forces me to be a bit creative in the kitchen (many recipe websites' vegetarian selections are like 90% pasta dishes). I also work out regularly and am putting on muscle, so getting enough protein (lots of eggs and cottage cheese) isn't an issue.

Yeah, people always bring up the protein thing. It's really not that hard to keep up with, especially if you're just plain vegetarian and not fully vegan.

was 187 this past sunday, down 11 pounds total. this was after a week of intermittent fasting, which is a fancy way of saying skipping breakfast. so no breakfast, keto chow for lunch, HFLC dinner, no snacks.
target weight is 173.
i haven't been 100% low carb, i ate whatever i wanted during jazzfest 1st weekend.

IF FTW. Lately I have been doing some really boring/tedious stuff at work and it's hard to fight the snacking urge to pass the time.

Ditto on the tedious work stuff. When I feel snacky I drink a glass of water and have a cup of coffee.

For a bit I would take a 2 mile mid-morning walk through the historic neighborhood behind the hospital and listen to a podcast or something, but these days its already triple digits by then. Now I just go to the water cooler that is three flights up. And I go to the executive suite to steal their coffee
hard to see from the picture, but it has a cole slaw like substance on it. that combined with the tender juiciness of the slow-cooked porked makes sauce unnecessary. however, at the vendor they do have huge bottles of Crystal hot sauce on the counter, serving recommendation is to dump a bunch of that on top of the pork.
it's my favorite jazzfest food, and one of my favorite things to eat period.

That Cochon de Lait poboy is so fucking good. Just need a mango freeze to wash it down with.

It's been about 8 months since I saw this thread, got a bit inspired, and started to take fitness much more seriously than previously.
I bought one of those fancy peloton spin bikes, started a pretty regimented training routine, and eat a lot better than previously. I don't keep Keto or anything, but I've tried to limit my carb intake a bit, cut out fast foods and eating out to a minimum. I don't drink during the week and try to limit beer and replace with red wine. I also walk about twice a day on the treadmill in our office (about a mile each time). All tolled, I've lost about 60 lbs in the 6 months, I'm approaching my goal weight for 2018, with about 40 more lbs to lose (hopefully). Weigh less than I did since I was a freshman in college (15 years ago, ugh) and about 50 lbs less than when I got married (makes those pictures a bit hard to look at, ugh). Feeling a lot better about myself and what I'm able to do physically.
I'll give at least 1/4 the credit to 3post1jack1 for randomly posting in here so it popped up in here on one boring day at work.

I do want one of those sandwiches, though.
Congrats! That is inspiring to hear. You mentioned this thread getting you into a healthier lifestyle, but what kept you in it? I can't seem to stay focused unless I enter challenges with coworkers, which I don't think is sustainable long term.

wow that is fantastic, congratulations! it's amazing how much of a difference tweaking little things can do.
as you approach your goal weight, don't allow yourself to get frustrated by plateaus, because those last 40lbs will probably drop off slower than the first 60lbs. but honestly for me it became easier to stick to a good eating plan after I lost weight, because you feel so good you don't want to go back to where you were.
i'm down 30lbs all in this year (198->168), and for the first time in my life I am at my goal weight. 32" waist, medium in most casual shirts. The majority of my meals are still low carb high fat, and I still drink keto chow 90% of the time for breakfast, and 90% of the time for lunch during the week, but I do allow myself carby treats every now and again. But I don't go overboard.
