This may get moved or not, but since I am new to the festival this year. I am going to list some camp sites I have seen from previous maps. Asking people who have stayed in those areas to maybe give an estimated time on how long the walk was. I am sure most everyone knows but just a thought for some people like me.
Camp Sites: James Bond (Area) Site Star Wars (Area) Site Zoolander (Area) Site Pulp Fiction [Vincent Vega area) Site Camp Dr. Rumack Breakfast Club (Area) Site Ace Ventura (Area) Site King Jaffe Joller (Area) Site
Name the camp you have stayed in and how long each distance was. I know not everyone has a choice of where they park but the idea would be great. Thanks

I stayed in the Star Wars area in '05. Literally 2 -3 minute walk to the entrance near The Other Tent. Stayed in Pulp Fiction area 2 years ago and it was about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the same entrance.

You forgot the faris Buler area.
32: Camp Ed Rooney - 12 Minutes (Probably shorter, but we were right next to Shakedown, and it's quite hard not to stop and look around)
04: Camp Dr. Rumack - 15 minutes
Pretty much, if you're not in BFE (Austin Powers area) or on the north side of Bushy Branch, You're only a few minute walk away. Plus walking around the campsite is almost as much fun as seeing the bands.

Thanks for adding Ferris Bueller, I forgot to look on that side. I cant find the Austin Powers area on this map. It may be on previous maps I have seen. So basically south of Bushy Branch road is not to bad of a walk from those camp sites?

yes you buy stuff there hehe
uh can anyone tell me where the shakedown was last year? i never made an attempt to find it i dont think, but it wasnt by pod 9 shopping area where that aluminum can sculpture thing and glass was found, was it?

k ty. apparently i wasnt thinking of pod 9 but somewhere on the other side of the farm, but you guys must know where i was talking about right? with the big can structure.... mb pod 5 or 8?? you had to go by the jesus freaks to get there.
looking at that map i realize i have very little clue where my camp was, or where my friends camp was haha.
We were parked next to pod 9, in Camp Dr. Peter Venkman (#64) but after surveying our location, decided to move to Tent-only. We made camp in Camp Thunderlips (#45). From our car to that area of tent-only was about 10-15 minutes, depending on how often we stopped to observe stuff around us.
But to give you an idea of how random location can be, a friend of ours was about 10 cars in front of us (we could see him) and he was sent to area 39, (no name area behind tent-only). Then three cars in front of us, we were re-routed to where we ended up.
I was way up on the corner of School and Plantation in '07, in I think Camp Egon something and it was about a 20 minute, maybe half hour, walk to Centeroo every day. didn't bother me much.
06 - Camp Pussye Galore (50) - 30-45 min walk 07 - Camp Pussye Galore (50) - 30-45 min walk 08 - Camp Lt. Andrew Bogomil (28) - 2 min walk
In 2007, they opened a gate at the end of Woodland Avenue (??) that let you cut through VIP to the What Stage fields - but it was only openen from noon until midnight - so if you stayed for the late night shows - when you went back to camp at sunrise - you had to walk all the way around.
We would have been in Access Camping in 07 if we had not listened to friends who felt guilty for using my handicap placard - we should have just let them camp where they wanted and gone ahead and used it since I ended up with a stress fracture in my foot from all the walking.

It's definitely a 15-20 minute walk to Centeroo from the front end of Pod 9. That's about where we were in '06 and I remember it taking quite a while, but not too long. We walked along Shakedown fairly slowly trying to take everything in.
