Hey my friends....I'm Pam from BC....I'm making the trek to the farm for the 3rd time and can't flippin' wait! Just wondering who my other canadian friends are out there!?
there's 8 or 9 of us flying in from Winnipeg. I ran into a few other Winnipeggers last year, but I think they might have been the only other Canadians I met. I was a little surprised. The year I went down to Coachella, it was seriously about 50% Canadians. Tons of people from BC. It worked out well for them, as the Canucks were playing Anaheim in the playoffs at the time. There were hundreds of people that would drive to the game and then back to the festival.
Weird for sure! This will be my third Roo and I always run into Canadians. In Fact, I pulled up to our hotel and hopped out lastyear (Wed of Roo or pre roo) and there was a couple who were from just a few hours away from where I live. I believe that couple decided to go to Mountain Jam with us this year. I don't know if they are doing Roo again tho......... ???
Is anyone taking the shuttle and camping in tent-only?? We always backpack in and camp as close as possible! It would be sweet if we could all camp together! If not I'll be flying a canadian flag so feel free to stop by and say hey!
Me and my Girlfriend are making our second drive down from Montreal, others may be joining us but not sure at this point. Last year I ran into tons of Canucks there. In fact, crazy story. Right after we finished setting up camp last year I noticed a Newfoundland flag flying a couple tents down so I went over to say hello. Turns out it was a group of about ten coming from Halifax and as I'm talking to them I hear "Kris?"(my name). I originally grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick turns out one of them was a girl I went to high school with. I still can't get over that I was camped beside someone from my small city on the east coast of Canada....truely a small world.
Hey Bennito-I believe we are looking to pick up people to share on gasoline. Toronto is right along our path too. I will know by the end of this week for sure on if the other guy is coming. My hubby is a regional manager for a car rental company so he can take whatever he wants off the lot but its always brand new. Please keep us in mind if you are looking for a drive ok! We can easily fit two people. (I think we plan on taking a Minivan. )

We'll be making out 3rd trip as well, and travelling from Toronto. Our first 2 years we did VIP, although this year we booked a hotel for a few days. I'm really looking forward to sleeping in!
Me and my brother will be coming from Edmonton for the second year. I know we saw quite a few Canadians last year. Wearing maple leaf print pants and Jays hats made us easy to spot!
Im coming in from Edmonton for my third trip, the first two times i was coming from Halifax. All i seem to meet are Canadian. Last year a girl stopped me while i was buying an iced lemonade and asked me what part of Canada i was from. I had this real puzzled look on my face and she said sorry i noticed when your social insurance card in your wallet when i went to pay. She was from Saskatchewan
right on, glad to see some people have escaped frederictons grasps. oh! and you're goin to osheaga too, i'm also planning on makin that road trip, as well as warped tour in montreal. anybody else stoked for some canadian acts like crystal castles and neko case(technically canadian)?
Flying from Vancouver to Bonnaroo! I'll be flying my Canadian Flag from Pemby in the tent only area too. The flag says "Viva Halo Nine, Camp VanderKraft" but probably wont make it very high in the air. I hear the dont like giant flag poles in airplanes... That and big bags of BC Bud... boohoo
Yup. Driving solo. Very excited for the road trip.
I guess you can't take yer tent onboard the aircraft, ja? Does it take up much space? I could prolly find room for it, if it meant you wouldn't have to sleep in the rain everyone is mentioning might happen...
I leave for Mission late Sunday night (to leave the Eastern suburbs via Sumas on Monday afternoon after a 20 hour nap), but I'm out and about Vancity tomorrow getting stuff ready, and I'm working Sunday 2-10 at the airport, if you really want to drop it off with me. I'll be camping in Car/Tent land, so I dunnah if that'll help or hurt your plans.
We are coming in from Toronto on Wednesday and we're pumped! Last year we didnt have nearly enough Canadian flags and stuff so we will be totally decked out this year. See you all there!
Trying to make it from Calgary as well - might have to figure something out to arrive Friday morning as most of the flights Thursday night are pretty booked :/
