I'm looking into buying a rooftop bag for extra luggage space for my car. Does anyone have experience with these? Does anyone know where to find inexpensive ones?
I took one last year. We had 5 people in my car, full trunk, and full rooftop bag. I gotta say, we overheated going anywhere near 80 on the way there, and one the way back(once each time).
From my experience, it saved our asses, but if you can at all possibly fit everything in your trunk, you should do it. Pretend it's tetris. It decreases gas mileage, and makes it obvious where you are going once you get towards TN., as well. That makes you a target for cops. We didn't get pulled over thankfully though, and had nothing to hide anyway, but just didn't feel like deal with that.
