I am so stoked!!! I just bought tickets to see The Dead and ABB and The Doobies at The Gorge!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! hahaha! Just my luck The Dead will be a late addition to ROO.....oh well I think I can justify seeing them twice! I've seen Phil Lesh and Bob Weir at Bonnaroo in the past.....but never The Dead OR ABB OR The Doobies! So peeps what am I in for??? Any albums/songs I should check out ASAP! THANKS! *slightly excited* ;D ;D
Thanks guys! I'm on cloud 9! What albums/songs/live stuff should I check out???
Dead albums try the live ones as that is their forte live Dead two from the vault dozin at the Knick any Dicks picks ---thats more than enough to keep you occupied. Or go online find sites to download live shows for free such as bt.etree.org/index.php tons of Dead and Phish
ABB Eat a peach Fillmore Concerts an evening with the ABB first and second set - this is from shows recorded at the Beacon theater in NYC--great venue ---for starters
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."

If you're looking to do it on the cheap you could camp at Quincy Lakes Wildlife Area a bit north of The Gorge. You just need a $11 vehicle use permit from the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife which you can get here: fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/wa/license/select
The permit will be good for an entire year so if you want to return to The Gorge for any other shows this summer you can camp for free! Or any other areas where a Washington Fish & Wildlife vehicle use permit is required.
Thanks guys! I'm on cloud 9! What albums/songs/live stuff should I check out???
For the Dead you can stream almost anything at archive.org.
5/8/77 at Corrnell U imo is their best show ever) 2/26/77 at Swing Auditorium is up there too (first Terrapin, Estimated....)
Like others have said, any of the Dick's Picks are great. Try to grab someting from like 70-72, definitely something from spring 77, and then something 89 or later.
ABB is easy Live at the Fillmore East- make sure it's the deluxe version with the 20+minut Whipping Post and Mountain Jam.
The Dead show at the Gorge was beautiful! Amazing weather and Amazing people! Loved every minute except for the brutal wookies who were blocking traffic and begging for money/beer at 7:30am!!! Get of my car you quackin' quacks! ;D
