Does anyone have any experience with or suggestions for solar powered tent fans? I'd like to mitigate the whole tent as blast furnace thing. Doing a quick google hasn't turned up anything really promising. I'm thinking of hacking something up from a couple of cheap photovoltaic cells off of ebay if I can't find anything effective at a decent price.
You sort of want your tent in the shade, thus making a solar-powered fan useless.
Yeah, not a lot of shade at Bonnaroo and my sunshade is going up at Camp Inforoo.
its not useless if it stores the energy. you could leave it out all day when you are at shows then it would be charged for when you want to sleep
I'm not necessarily looking for one that charges a battery, a direct PV cell to fan setup would be fine. At night I don't usually need a fan, I'm thinking more for when the sun is up to get another hour of sleep in the morn.
