I just found out about this new, small, camping fest that will take place in May, on the Ohoopee River, near Swainsboro, GA, which is located between Savannah and Macon, GA. I plan to be there. Early-birds are only $55 and Jason "Lefty" Williams, who I met at Bear Creek 2007 and will play here, has an allotment of tickets cheaper than that.
Not a bad initial line-up. If you've never heard of Randall Bramblett, he used to tour with Steve Winwood and has played with a lot of other big names over the years. He has a new album out I haven't heard yet. I've also seen several of the other bands at Bear Creek, Loki and other small fests. I'm looking forward to seeing who gets added. This should be a fun weekend for a low price.
I may just get a canoe and paddle up to the venue. The Ohoopee River is only about 3 miles from my house.

My buddy sings for Lingo, one of the bands listed. Should be a great festival for a decent price. Nice location too. Anyone looking for a smaller fest in the southeast should consider this. Nice range of music.

Headin out to Hoopee Jam in about an hour. It's raining with thunder and lightning here right now. Hopefully it'll be better there by the time I get there.
