Couldn't find a thread on these guys. I caught their set two (?) years ago, and was plesantly surprised. New album is out March 10, and you can stream three tunes here. Sounds like I'll picking this one up!

I went to his show in '07, picked out a large spot in the back of the tent with some friends and laid down and rested to the blissful sounds that are Elvis Perkins. Not quite sleeping, but it was very relaxing and refreshing for rest of the day

I did the same thing! Pretty sure I did fall asleep for a bit there. That's what you get during a low-key Sunday afternoon set, right?
Definately looking forward to catching his set. From what I've listened to thus far I'm pretty sold on him. He'd be a fun guy to just sit down and chill to, I think you folks are on to something here.

This was my worst conflict of 07'. Elvis vs. David Murray vs. Jim Jarmusch. Sucks but Elvis lost out. I hope that this year will be the year I see him.

I was at Jim Jarmusch for this... well, I was in the tent, heard Wolfmother, went out, caught a bit of their show, then went back to the exit to watch/listen to the Jarmusch interview... then onto Junior Brown and Ornette Coleman.
saw them at Starr Hill in Charlottesville about 2006 when they opened for Matt Costa didnt make it to there set in 2007 but I was a big fan of ash wendsday waiting to get my hands on the new disc
Got my vinyl copy of the new album in the mail the other day, and it's outstanding. Hope you guys check it out.
Thanks for reminding me to dl that.
In my first swing through the artist list I didn't look to far into Elvis Perkins in Dearland because I couldn't find anything to DL, but on my second pass through I tried his website and the streaming music seems to hit the spot for me. I'd love to be able to grab the full album to check it out, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere... Mind dropping me a PM w/ where you found it?
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
