so not showering im not going to have a problem with... but my question is Does everyone use actual baby wipes to clean up or do you guys use the packs of fresh bath wipes bought at outdoor stores?
I use Citrus Scent antibacterial Wet-Ones ... about $1.60 for 40 sheets. I then put 5 to 10 sheets in individual Zip-lock snack bags to use inside the venue.
I cant do the no shower for fourdays thing...so i take a camp shower and shower in the am and after all the great festivities...and cuddle up nice and fresh in my linen! I did the showerless one night and was miserable in the morning.
those camp showers are the junk...just leave it out in the sun and you have a nice warm shower at night...
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

how much would that run my wallet?
We brought a bucket, filled it up in the morning with water from 99 cent gallon containers from Krogers... lathered up with some hair and body wash, and poured that water all over the body.
Easy as pie if you wear a bathing suit the whole time.
2/5- Papadosio 3/3- MUSE 3/12- John Mayer 3/19- The Werks 3/31- Passion Pit 4/18- Ben Folds 4/20- Against Me! 6/10- Bonnaroo 6/30- Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey
I showered probably twice a day with those $5 walmart solar showers. I just throw it on top of the car and stand in my underwear and wash off. Makes you feel like a new person. I normally take one of the morning and one after the sun goes down before the night adventures.

I've looked into a couple of these...but my only main problem would be what do you do with all the excess water...i'm not trying to flood my neighbor's campsite with shower water..
Yeah, the ground has been so dry the last couple of years that it essentially soaks it up in no time. I used the $5 solar shower and it is just basic. I put it on the car in the sun, let it heat up so by the time i get to it, its nice an warm. I also had purchased a shower tent from Sams for $25 and it did a great job until I forgot to take down the water and it broke all the poles....remember it was a tent for 25...but that was a nice one.
Seriously, a nice shower after standing and walking all day is the best way to head off into the night! Not that I am against not showering, I just dont like smelling my jiblletts and bung hole under my covers!

BTW...the water does get heavy lugging it from the water source to your camping area, if you bring a wagon or some sort of wheeled device it will make it that much easier.

They really don't use much water. Do it by the cars and you will have no problem. What I do is bring a couple of washcloths and just wet them and wipe down. Works good for me, and those camp showers work good for it because it gets the water feeling pretty good after they warm up a bit. They're a bit chilly first thing in the morning but once that TN sun beats on them they get warm fast.
we use huggies or whatever and go through about 2/3 boxes over the 4 days, they are a serious god sent.... especially in 07' when it was dustaroo, we had so much caked on dirt and dust, but a few wipes later we were clean as a whistle... whatever that means lol!
I gotta agree with Bunny on smelling like a diaper bag. Some wipes are not for polishing up...they feel sticky and gross for hours later.
One way to make a cheap camp shower is with an umbrella and some rope.
At home, open the umbrella and poke holes in it with a sharp fork or something...just so that the holes aren't too big.
At the fest, tie a rope between two cars, EZ up posts or whatever. Open the umbrella and hang it upside down on the rope. If you have an EZ up, you could even just hang it on one of the accordion bars without needing the rope.
If you want to get nekkid, you can hang a tapestry or sheet on the spokes of the umbrella. I suggest skipping all that and wearing a bikini/shorts.
Get under that umbrella and have your buddy pour a jug of water into it. You can even do a quickie with a few bottled waters. Leave the water in the tent all day for a hot rinse.
I'd test your umbrella in the backyard before you depend on it out in the wild.

i guess im way to good at being dirty. i could probably shower the sunday before roo and be okay until i got home, haha.
last year we stopped in nashville wednesday night and slept at a friend of someones in our group and i was the only one to opt out of a shower thursday morning. it was more that i had been waiting over a year to finally get on the farm than that i didnt want to shower. My friend called me "too bonnaroo" for the rest of them, haha. Hes the type who goes to roo 100% because of the lineup, im quite the opposite. i like the dirt.
also, dirt>bathtub gin @ the sunday show, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
BTW...the water does get heavy lugging it from the water source to your camping area, if you bring a wagon or some sort of wheeled device it will make it that much easier.
Cool, I wondered about that. So it's cool to have a wagon or something on the farm to schlep our water?
If you are interested in those big fancy wipes, you can probably find an equivalent cheaper from a medical supply company. I know we use a very similar product at the hospital. I think it's called Complete Bath.

Oh, just get the store brand baby wipes. I prefer unscented, but scented would be fine too. You're gonna be filthy so it will feel wonderful. But do get the wet-one antibacterial wipes to carry around for porta-potties and before meals.
I just bought the biggest container of Wal-Mart brant wipes. I used them last year too. Then I sprinkle on some Shower to Shower powder. We are going to get a little piece of hose and a shower head or hose sprayer to hook up to the trough this year. Last year I used baby wipes and finally bathed in the trough once, on Sunday, and I never enjoyed washing my hair so much in my life! I felt like a brand new person.

Wet Ones actually come in a resealable package, so they are good for Centeroo. We will have a shower tent for the 2nd year in a row, but the wipes were clutch to wipe down early in the morning before heading out.
