I have porkchops (pretty sure they are boneless). I wish to make them for dinner tomorrow. What recipe do you have that would pass the discerning palates of a 4 and 6 year old?
Off the top of my head I'd say some Cinnamon Apple Chops. My grandmother made it for me as a kid and I still love them. You should have everything already and if not all you need is applesauce and some of those cinnamon red hot candies.
Maybe lemon chops?
What do the like?
I think Cinnamon Apple Chops would work pretty well. Can you send me the recipe?
I need a good easy idea for tonight for "country" pork ribs. I may just do taco night if nothing else presents itself..
I wanna try curry country pork ribs but I haven't had the time to try them out.
Me and the GF would like that unfortunately while my 12 year old is becoming a lot more tolerant of strange foods she hates the taste of curry. She is really getting into Pan's Cantonese and Malaysian cuisine though so that is a start. Also for some really strange reason she loves Durian which I can not stand.
Hey GL, have you ever had stinky tofu? We got some in NYC at the Flushing Chinatown, and it is pretty good stuff if you can get over the smell.

Hum .. Maybe a cranberry glaze? Not as much kick but rather tasty.
It is deep fried fermented tofu it is not quite as squishy as the non fried more like a twinkie on the consistency. We only saw it in the Flushing Mall in Queens Chinatown, and it was not written as stinky tofu in English just Cantonese. It is one of her favorites from back home though and she had been jonesing for some for awhile. I was actually pretty impressed with the flavor, kind of a pickley fermented taste but in a good way if you know what I mean.
They were going to be for tonight as spaghetti was already on the menu last night. I told Abra about your recipe, and they have now been delayed until Wednesday because thought the recipe sounded great, and she won't be home for dinner tonight due to her hooping class. I will let you know tomorrow.

It's spaghetti night. I made homemade pasta sauce and canned several quarts of it a few weeks ago, so spaghetti is simple and as quick as browning some meat, grabbing a jar of homemade goodness from the pantry and boiling some noodles.

GL, I thought the porck chops were good. Abra said they were "interesting" which I would attribute to apple sauce and pork chops not being a combo we ever have. The younger one dismissed them without even trying it which is not unusual for him. The older one ate some. They had eaten pizza that afternoon, so they not have been very hungry and for them, pizza is a tough act to follow.
The boys are a difficult assignment and sometimes totally random in their tastes. The younger one used to eat spaghetti like it was his job, but he complained when we had it Monday night.
I was just thinking about what to make... and then I ate almost an entire container of cottage cheese. Fail. I hate when I waste my appetite like that.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
