I just read up on the last game. Very interesting. Hippie did quite well with the faux naïveté.
i really think that's what's happening again...
if you look at past voting, every time hippie and strum voted for someone they voted for the same person and that person ended up being killed. then they killed sadie who voted for strum.
now almost certain is about to be killed, because hippie started that trend and if you look, she..meaning certain... also voted for strum in the first round...they were the only two to vote for him. nobody voted for hippie first round so they go after the two that voted the other mafia.
i really think they're the mafia but i could be completely wrong since it's only second round, but if i get killed by the mafia i'm right and y'all better vote both of them dead b/c i would hate for us innocents to lose !
well if it's a real problem you could always see how far into the negative you can go that way your smiter will no longer be a problem, just tell everyone to smite you...wasn't there a guy who did that last year?

Seeing as how there really isn't any fault in that logic, there isn't anything I can really say other than it is a freakish coincidence.
But I will also say that if I were the mafia reading that, I would probably kill you off tonight just so that everyone else could believe you and then vote more citizens to their death. Don't forget that the mafia reads all strategy/theory that is announced in the thread, and any chance to take attention away from them and focus it on someone else is just golden

blast... I was really hoping superbek would stick around to get an immediate answer as to why voting jenn would be silly, but it appears she just dropped in and out... so here's my full (and overly-thought-through as always) rebuttal to your comment superbek:

No. It would not be stupid in my opinion... If Jenn comes through with this seemingly full proof theory (more on that in just a bit) and then ends it with

Now, if hippie and i were mafia then I'd agree with you that it would indeed be stupid for us to vote Jenn off... but otherwise I can't see how the mafia wouldn't want to let everyone suddenly have one more reason to suspect someone else of being mafia.
And now, as to address the fact that i admitted there was no fault in the logic. I said that because there's no fault in what she said. Hippie and I do have identical voting patterns. But I didn't feel it necessary to point out that voting patterns are so easily manipulated by the mafia in every round (you can look back at previous rounds if you don't believe me). It really is rare that the mafia will always both vote for the same person because it raises this suspicion. Sure, the theory Jenn provided is sound but the mafia knows that people will be looking at voting patterns to try and pair two people together so often times that's avoided.

And when hippie brings her stash into the game, she's being honest, I like to believe. After the one game I stupidly voted her off even after her swearing on it.. I learned. ;]
