I only voted for you in the first place because I wanted a tie! I said I was open to persuasion and all-but-explicitly asked for a reason to keep my Sadie vote. Instead, you just got defensive and it led to suspicion.

Coming from experience, when you're a citizen and you randomly get votes in the first round (this is actually the first time i've played this game where i haven't been targeted first... so yay me) you do get defensive. There's nothing more frustrating than signing up to play a game, receiving the role of an innocent, and then not being able to play any longer than the first round of voting... so hippie, I do understand why you're being so defensive because i have been just as, if not more defensive. And for now, I believe you... although I agree you need a new method of rationalizing because the notion of "I've never lied before in this game" only works so long until people are going to accuse you of lying regardless... as is happening now
And sadie, i'm sorry I "brought all the attention" on you. Somebody had to vote first, and if it wasn't you then it would be someone else that i picked from random.
i feel bad for hippie. mostly cause she offered to help me out... so i'm changing my vote to kdogg. cause um, i still don't know why. i hate the first round. but it does feel good to not be the majority anymore. i swear people i am a citizen.

I almost undid my hippie vote until you called the corn-swearing into question.
Also, if any of you have corn to swear on... consider me jealous. No trips to the grocery for me until payday

Hmmm well I really feel like I should retract my vote for hippie.....but the only way to make it matter is if I make it even by voting for kdogg....But then I would just feel guilty about getting rid of him...so I retract my vote for hippie.....but I don't know who I am going to vote for yet

This is very puzzling... I really wanted to believe hippie in here, but then she went and brought up in the old mafia thread her corn/vinyl proposal record... which is just a lil sketch to me, I dunno why. As I said earlier, defending yourself excessively is rarely a sign of guilt in my eyes but that move just screamed out at me as suspicious for some reason. Rather than instantly changing my vote though, hippie... why'd you dig up the old game? You know the only people lame enough (coughMEcough) to read old mafia threads probably have the history memorized anyways

i apologize for being overly defensive. it really has been a terrible day, and i was just taking out my frustrations on the game
as for the game...if my swearing is growing old, how about y'all convene about who else you think is mafia, and i'll vote for that person. there are 3 mafia, so if i am mafia, i can't be the only one. just tell me who to vote for this round, and i will.
its just hard to have any kind of real defense in the first round of the game. there's nothing to go by and nothing to refer to.
That's probably to your advantage, though... Would you rather be the noob oblivious to the history? Going through six old games, while it'd probably be useful, just seems like too much for me in the short term.
While I'm posting, I should probably let you I'll be gone most of tomorrow. Going to a Brewers game in Milwaukee.

ok well I don't think it matters at this point but I don't think it is hippie...so I don't want her gone....and I would like to see how kdogg plays before I make any assumptions as to his style(If there even can be a style) So I am going to vote for Sadie in hopes that others will change their vote.....no offense sadie, really

True, it's possibility...but plenty have voted for hippie...and you would think if that was the reason my name would be up there, because you even said it was my questioning that made your vote stick with her.....soooo I think her rationale(sp?) is different but I'm not too persuaded by her post above...giving the reasons she thinks it's you guys.....got anything else hippie? I can still be swayed

i'm not sure how much else i'm supposed to "have" in the first round. i'm going off the only information i know...that there are 3 mafia. i'm leery of meg because of her sudden vote change. i leery of jenn and kdogg because they're just as sure that i AM mafia as i am sure that i am NOT mafia. so if you're going to accuse me of being overly defensive, you might want to re-read and see how much they argued as well.
and as i stated before, it didn't seem like cupcake thought much about her vote, and just went with me for what reason?
that's all i've got. not being mafia, i wouldn't know what else to tell you
