I would like to hear cajun's defense before I make my vote. I was thinking of sending my vote his way, but since I'm still somewhat leery of wooz, and even a little bit of sammy, I'll wait on it.
Yeah, I guess Mafia probably shouldn't be your first priority in life. I forget this because I have no life to speak of and spent the past weekend sick in bed, contemplating the game and driving myself mad.
I'm going to make my vote for cajun official, and depending on his response to the votes, leave it as is or change it.
My vote is for Meg. I think she's playing differently this game. Too much under the radar.
If you look at the last game - I played quietly also - plus - work has been hectic and will just get worse the closer to 'roo - I always try to leave my desk empty when I leave for Bonnaroo so that I have nothing at all to worry about

I think I can prove I’m not mafia to ya’ll. So far I’ve been voted for by almost everyone except the people who the mafia have offed. Lets review the list:
Wooz - voted for me this round Meg- has never voted for me aespsg – has voted for me twice bamadancer – killed off by the mafia handgunhips – did not vote for me but was not mafia, I’ll explain below sadielady – voted for me in the first round ajalfon - voted for me in the first round Strum – killed off by the mafia almostcertain – has never voted for me Sammy O – voted for me two and a half times ( I’m counting the drunken nighttime vote as a half).
So there are only two people who have NOT voted for me so far, Meg and Almostcertain. However this round has Almostcertain voting for Meg which tends to discount the idea that they are both mafia.
Thanks to kdogg we now know handgun was NOT mafia
For the record - handgun's already guessed 3 of the 4 assigned roles
If she were mafia she would have no need to guess the roles. Sorry about my part in getting rid of you handgun.... we killed an innocent woman!
As I said before, if we assume Ajalfon was mafia (and I have a gut feeling he was) then that leaves two still in the game. They would have voted for me the first round instead of Ajalfon of course. Three of those are left: Aespsg, Sadie and SammyO. I still think it might be Sadie and SammyO. I think Ajalfon and Sadie’s final exchange was an attempt to throw us off the track since he was doomed anyway.

Note that in round 2 when handgun voted for Sadie, Sammy immediately jumped in and voted for handgun.... protective isn't it?

again i use the same defense as before...none of my votes before last round were premeditated by any means...both were blatantly random (read my first two votes to see) and the third was for cajun because he decided to overlook the randomness of my votes and point his finger...he has a good point w/ hips and i agreed with that. his continuing analysis is why i keep my vote on. cajun, you're either mafia or the inspector. and prolly not the inspector because you're so suspicious of me, you definetly would've asked k if i was mafia and got your answer there.

^^ It's hard to overlook the randomness of your votes when I'm the random target. I note also you still haven't given a compelling defense of yourself. Riddle me this, if I'm mafia who else is?
Strum, I agree with your logic. In the first round we were split into two camps, those voting for me ( you bastards!!) and those voting for ajalfon. As I said I know I am not mafia and whomever the inspector is would voted for who they KNEW was mafia. So I really think Ajalfon was mafia. If we assume Ajalfon was mafia then that means that 2 of the 4 who voted for me are mafia. That leaves two mafia left. Now based on Strums post I don't think handgunhips is mafia. Aespsg doesn't seem paired up with anyone else's vote... which leaves Sammy O and Sadie who seem to be voting together. Think about it folks, I really think those two are our mafia.

my vote before this was for hips...because she was the person that posted above me. before that i voted for you because you and i were the last two people to join. i then voted for you again because of this post. if you can't see that this is a really brash assumption then i don't what is. therefore, i feel that you are 'pointing' fingers at me with no real reason.

I feel like I'm on the set of "12 Angry Men" here. Obviously Sammy isn't going to be swayed from voting for me. I've posted my theory and proven ( satisfactorily I think) why I'm not mafia. I tell you what Sammy, make a compelling case for anyone else being mafia and I'll consider it.
As it stands now I'm the last person to vote. If I vote now, then kdogg will close the voting and I will die... quack that, I'm not suicidal. We're at an impasse, I'll hold my vote for a while till either someone changes their mind or kdogg gives me a deadline.
Sadie, prove to me you and sammy aren't mafia together and change your vote.

Since Cajun's already got half the votes and can't make another player tie or overtake his lead - his vote alone can't affect the outcome. I'm willing to leave this vote open until he's satisfied he's said his piece.
Cajun suggested I give him a deadline to make him vote. I'm delegating that decision to the townspeople. They can determine when enough is enough. As such, once four remaining players (a majority) say "I stand by my vote" - the result will be unable to change. At that point, I will close this round's voting

last mafia? How do you figure that? We've only voted out one possible mafia. Handgun was not. How is having a sense of self preservation mean I am mafia? I have one last (long) defense post to make, but it will have to wait till 5 when I get home. Hold off killing me till then.
i change my vote to cajun. cause, if wooz is mafia [as i suspect] i dont want to be hit by mafia tonight. so i'm going w/ the majority in fear for my life later.
cuz sadie has not voted against sammy at all they are both determined to gang up on cajun

wow...this changed quick. i believe i can figure out now who the mafia is, judging on the fact that cajun and meg are so sure that i am and i know that i am not. as explained before, i can't control who sadie votes for, she has voted after me all three times and we ARE NOT mafia, so we can't converse by pm's like some of you are. and the fact that now, cajun AND meg are agreeing out loud that me and sadie are mafia, i believe they are trying to set us up. i have been pretty leary of meg because of her voting for me for no reason (or maybe w/ cajun) and of how quiet shes been (i know, you say work, but that makes for a good excuse, you too wooz). wooz i don't why you changed to me, but i can assure you, unless you're mafia, you are makin' the wrong choice. if i make it through the votes this time, i wouldn't be suprised if i get merc'd by the mafia. i'm thinkin' i'm already on the right track.
cajun ill tell you this, if you're not mafia, then you will know i'm a townsperson as well, because im tellin the truth. you might have just attracted the mafia to an easy kill.
a kdogg statistical note. i was mafia last game. odds show its not likely its me again. also, same thing happened to kdogg last game, he was mafia the game prior so we all jumped on him quick. ex-mafia make easy patsy's for the new mafia. it was a mistake for the townspeople cause they lost.
all you fellow townspeople. please read cajun's reason and mine and then make a decision.
i retract my vote for the time being.
i got a meeting at 5:30 tonight, ill be home to give my vote after everyone comes back to their senses. (hopefully)

Ok, at the risk of annoying the crap out of everyone with another long post I’ve worked on some odds. I admit the flaw in my previous argument is that I’m assuming the inspector voted for ajalfon because he knew something. If ajalfon was mafia then my previous arguments hold and it is two out of three of Aespsg, Sadie and SammyO. Which means that any of them have a 66% chance of being mafia. For what it's worth I still think Ajafon was our mafia.
However if Ajalfon was not mafia then there are still three mafia left.I drew a grid and worked out all the combinations. Based on past voting I was able to eliminate a few of the combinations. For example Wooz has not voted for nor been voted for by Meg, Almostcertain and SammyO which means 3 of the 4 of them could be a bloc. However Meg has voted/been voted for by both SammyO and Almostcertain so she can’t be part of any of the possible combinations. So the only people Wooz could be with are Almost and Sammy.
These are the ones that still look viable to me. As you can see SammyO is in 5 of 6.
This was written last night. Based on this afternoon’s voting I beleive we can eliminate combinations 1,2,3, and 5 leaving the following ( again these are valid only if we assume ajalfon was NOT mafia)

Reading over todays votes I just realized something else. (Yeah I'm going to throw a curve ball here). Back to my original argument. If Ajalfon was mafia then Aespsg, Sadie and Sammy are the only possibilities for mafia. Aespsg voted for Sammy which means that the two of them aren't in cahoots. That leaves one person definitely of those three that is mafia. Sadie!
I change my vote to Sadie. SammyO here's your chance, vote for Sadie and I will be convinced you are not mafia and I will try to sway everyone to help.
Edit: sorry for the change of heart folks. There's still a chance Sammy is innocent and I want to give him a chance to defend himself. However there appears to be ZERO chance of Sadie not being mafia!
