Heyyyyy, so me and my friend are bussing down to b-roo and its our first year. We will be arriving, i believe wed. night., no clue where we will sleep, but im guessing we will somehow try to get to this walmart im hearing about. ANYHOO, what im trying to ask is, since we are sleeping at the tent-only, and we will be arriving really early, will we still get stuck in BFE? or have a bad spot??? or is it different bc we are tent only.....
Anything else about walking in would be great, I just feel so vulnerable without a car, haha
In 06 I greyhounded down from NY with a buddy, and we arrived wednesday morning. The bus stop is a gas station that is relatively nearby one of the main roads that brings you into bonnaroo. Me and my friend were lucky enough to meet a cool sherriff that drove us all the way up that road right to the point where they were turning cars around. There was a lot ofpeople like us that were just hanging out and waiting for the green light to enter. Eventually at some point wednesday afternoon they started letting cars and people move on in to the ticketing area, and a bunch of us speedwalked in a friendly competition to see who could get there first. Once we were all standing around the ticket takers we had a rock paper sisccors (not even gonna try to spell that word) tournament to see who would be first second third and fourth person to enter. I was second. As unbelievable as it sounds I like to think I was the second official festie to have his ticket scanned and enter the grounds! Anyway, walking in is a lot of fun, you'll meet a bunch of people and you might just be able to say you're in the top 5 people into the roo...
I walked into Roo last year, took a bus in and then got a taxi at the bus station with a bunch of people from the bus to the Roo Grounds. Went in around 10 o clock or so and was very confused about where to go, found out they were not letting people into Tent only until the morning so I ended up walking out to BFE and setting up so I could get some sleep for the night since I was so tired. Was going to drag everything to Tent Only in the morning but ended up being too lazy and just staying in BFE for the weekend which wasnt so bad, maybe a 30 minute walk to Centeroo.
