Tool have confirmed via their official website, www.toolband.com, that they will be hitting the road this summer for a tour. While dates have yet to be announced, the band are highly rumored to appear as a headliner at this years "Lollapalooza" festival, which will take place in Chicago, IL on August 07th-09th.

What?? Didn't see that coming. I'd love to hear they're working on new material, or digging into the past on this tour (i know, not likely). I want to see them, but not if it's just 10,000 Days plus the singles from their last two cd's.
I'm sure many of you have heard of an upcoming summer tour. Although I can't announce any specific dates yet (as the bulk of the dates haven't been confirmed), once they are finalized and official, we'll be sure to announce them on the site. So... be on the lookout for these dates to be posted soon, and get ready for live Tool this summer. (Now I understand what that elemental was referring to in the February newsletter)

TooL headlines the Saturday night of the LOADED ALL POINTS WEST festival at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Their enough for me to go, but the three day fest hosts Beasties,Arctic Monkeys,Ghostland Observatory,Black Keys,Gogol Bordello,The National,Echo and the Bunnymen, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the quacking Pharcyde, Qtip, so many more. Although I spent my money on VIP for ROO 09, I prefer this line up by far.

However I went last year and the atmosphere sucked, boo the vibe, a line to get beer wristbands then a line to get beer in a fenced in beer fence away from the stages and on top of it all, only aloud five beers a day. They are nazi grandmothers.

So they want you to guzzle 5 beers then go back to the show? Great idea, I'm there!
