Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
I'm glad he's back and is at the tallyboard again. I knew (hoped and prayed) he wouldn't let us down. Hopefully we'll know soon.
I am still visiting my sister who lives in the country with dial up access so I wouldn't be able to look at the boards every hour (like I did at home)! I tell you dial up sucks after you are used to being connected at all times to cyberspace. It is not offered out here in any form. Evidently there are only a couple of people who use the internet on this road in farm country 8 miles from "town".

Hey guys...sorry I've been out of the loop but I got home from the hospital a couple days ago and promise to have a winner by Friday and I apologize for dragging the contest out this long.

Oh, everything's ok, if you want to call it that. Just went through my 6th and hopefully final collapsed lung. I'm very familiar with the before and afters and having one collapse but I'll never get used to not being able to breath. It's a scary situation your first time around. Without getting too graphic, they go in and rough up the inside of your chest cavity and the outside of the lung so that the two will scar together, preventing further collapses. What I hate worse than the bills, is how bad it screws with my sleep schedule.

I'm glad you are back with us, angrysunday. I can almost feel your pain with the collapsed lung. I spent 17 years as a respiratory therapist in the local trauma hospital and I have seen dozens of chest tubes inserted. There is no time for anesthetizing before the Dr. cuts and inserts the tube. I always feel for those folks who are awake and alert for the procedure. It seemed that the ability to take a deeper breath outweighed the puncture proceedure, though.
Not being able to breathe is one of the scariest things we can have happen to us. I do hope you continue to improve and get your sleep schedule back on track just in time to mess it up again at Bonnaroo! But then the 'roo interruption is filled with good music and great memories, so it is all worth it. Yeah yeah yeah!
Let me know if you need a "respiratory treatment" at the 'roo.
