My Ohio people, looking to hitch a ride to Roo this year. I am a barrel of laughs, as Neil Young would say. I am confident I would be a welcome addition to your trip. Who's got an open spot, please help me
I'm not gonna lie though, I was super tired and left like 30ish mins early. His beautiful, relaxing voice was too much for me to take and I had to go home and sleep. It was some good sleep too. I was impressed by light set up though. I wasn't expecting it to be as enticing as it was. I really enjoyed all the graphics on the screens in the back.

You left Sufjan early?! Idk if we can be friends now. Plus, the end was epic.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

You missed the end? Do yourself a favor and do not youtube Blue bucket of gold then. The lights, and the noise made me happy I didn't bring my friend Lucy.

I know. I suck. And of course I just YouTubed that and it looked awesome. It's like a giant spacey fishbowl. That would've been awesome. I tried so hard to stick it out tho. But I was just so relaxed that I could feel myself falling asleep.. Did you find the crowd awkward though? I felt like no one knew when to clap and sometimes just wouldn't when I felt like they should. Idk, I found it amusing. I love when they messed up a couple of times too. That made me giggle.
Not to change the subject (but I'm going to because I'm salty now) are you going to MMJ there in June? The entire time I kept trying to picture what MMJ there is going to be like. That setting was perfect for Sufjan, but MMJ is going to be nuts in a theatre like that. And the pit is tiny and soooooo close to the stage. I got floor seats, but Voltron I know got pit tickets and I'm very jealous after seeing the way that place is set up. I hadn't been to the Palace in like 12-15 years I don't think. I didn't remember it being so fancy schmancy.

The awkwardness was probably because the majority of the concert was material off the new album, and because there wasn't much downtime in between songs. Overall I liked the crowd, it was quiet even in between songs, aside from the fella who yelled something out about Beyoncé.
This was only my second time at Palace, my first time seeing Ryan Adams I was pretty high up. I had third row seats for Sufjan, and yeah the pit area is set up sweet. It consisted of two rows of fold up chairs.
And hell yeah I am going to see MMJ, I am on the floor too, but not exactly sure where. Hopefully not underneath the balcony. I am guessing you're right, it is going to be nuts in there, which is perfect cause I am fixin to get rowdy

haha, the Beyoncé yelling guy was right behind me. When he yelled that he basically yelled directly into my ear. What an idiot.
And yea, it's going to be insane in that place for MMJ. I have tickets to both nights and tried to scope out where my seat is. I'm in the middle section I think a bit centered and in like row R or something. (Actually, have a floor ticket to sell for the Wednesday show if anyone is interested.)

Anyone from the area going to see The Replacements next week at the LC. We luckily got tics before it sold out. I'm a big fan, dating back to their heyday, so it was a must-go for me.

I just got this exciting sweet email from bandsintown informing me that on May 15th My Morning Jacket would be playing at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, Ohio.
Hey Ohio people! I need to get rid of one GA wristband. If you or someone you know is interested I'm selling for pre-sale price. Also if you need a Groop to go down with and or camp with we'll be rolling out of Columbus on Wednesday afternoon and camping in Groop camp.

Took me a solid 3 mins to try and figure our where the hell the Georgia Theatre was in Athens before I realized its Athens, GA. Wow. I'm super duper slow today.
Also, Columbus peoples- I'm still selling a floor seat ticket for MMJ on weds 6/24 for the real Columbus show.

Now if you had a ticket for Tuesday I would be all about it. Maybe try a site called vividseats. That is where I purchased my Sufjan ticket at, and it seemed pretty cool.
How good are your tickets? I've got Main floor row Z.

My ticket for Wednesday is Main floor 3, row Y, seat 115. My tickets that I'm keeping for both days are floor 3, row R, seat 121. I bought the Wednesday ticket before realizing they had a package deal for both days that was slightly cheaper.
I am headed to Cedar Point and King's Island this weekend (hopefully the weather will be good). Are there any good record stores near Mason or Cedar Point? We went last year so this is our second trip to Ohio. We had a good time last year.

I cannot say if there are any near Mason or Cedar point, but my assumption is that to get from Cedar Point to Kings Island you will be taking I-71. If that is the case if you get off at the Weber Street exit in Columbus Exit 113 there is a sweet record store called Lost Weekend Records. IMO it is the best one in town.
