There wasn't a thread up yet, so I figured I might as well start one. Anyone interested in caravanning? Me and some friends plan to head out Thursday morning, probably fairly early.
I've been considering leaving Bloomington sometime Wednesday night, maybe midnight or so, the idea being that I would arrive around the time they open the main gates at 7-8 AM. However, I have also been thinking it might be nice to arrive Wednesday evening to have another night of chillin at the farm. When are you heading out Clato?
We head out usually around noon on Wednesday, Stay in M'Boro hook up with a few inforoors for a drink or two and grab dinner at this nice Italian restaurant in M'Boro. This is our first year leaving from Bloomington though we usually leave from Terre Haute and take 41 down Pennyrile to 24. From Bloomington it looks like 65 to 24.
driving all night without sleep can be hard on you. Its hard to sleep once you get there because of the heat plus you are tired and have to set up camp. This weekend is about pacing yourself because you could go on overload...
Yeah that makes sense. Maybe I'll hit the Wal-mart scene or something on Wednesday night instead of going straight there. I don't want to necessarily doom myself to BFE country if I can help it at all (which I know is not really optional even on Thursday, but Wednesday it is certain doom) but I also don't want to pay for a hotel room if I don't have to. Money better spent at the Roo.
Yeh, we pay far in advance for the hotel. The prices start going up the closer to roo and they get booked up. So we pay not long after we pay for tickets via Hotels.com and get a good deal
By the way Bloomington Indiana crowd my work is co-sponsoring Addicted to Music Friday at Dunn Meadow part State Radio will be playing and it is free. There will also be some free food and other things. Should be fun I will be at the Amethyst House Booth stop by and say hello

I am flying into Indy and should be heading down to Bloomington to see some old high school friends before heading down Wed. night. Wolfaroo, if you want to go Wednesday I have a buddy in Nashville that I will be crashing with and I am sure that they won't mind someone else. Probably a little safer than the wal-mart scene anyways....no cops at my buddys ;D
