I'm volunteering through a company based out of GA that is handling parking. This is my first year doing this. Anyone else worked for them before? It sounds pretty sweet but we have to work about 30 hours total. I'm getting there Monday night to start

Ouch, your volunteering to work the parking? And you have to go on Monday? Strange, but I could make a few guesses as to what you'll be doing.
Since your going to be there on Monday, you'll most likely be drawing lines and putting up the stakes and string. Not too tough, but just be sure to have water and sunblock. I can't guarantee this, but that seems to be the most likely scenario. I'd bank on one shift drawing lines, and one shift on Thursday bringing in the biggest flow of traffic

yea, but we get to stay in an air conditioned tent behind What stage w/free food and beer the whole week. And I don't have to get there Monday, but I'm getting there then to save some $ on camping and going to go ahead and get my hours out of the way. Roo is worked into a 2 month road trip for me so getting there early is saving me money.

Yea the AC tents are nice, probably half the reason I still work Roo. Whoever's telling you free beer though, I'd ask that again. That just doesn't seem wise for the company to supply alcohol, and I know my company doesn't buy US beer

i heard it from a guy who worked it last year. He said they got to drink anything that was glass that is found during the search. Not sure if its true but not really a big deal either way
