Okay guys.......this site is very much in its infancy. I'm still trying to figure a lot of stuff out about using it and adding things and stuff like that......but wanted to get some feedback.
would you visit this site? if it had daily updates of news, show reviews, images, videos, and other music related goodness?
I want to try and make it similar to largeheartedboy, the steam engine, and aquariumdrunkard (all music related blogs). of course it has a long way to go.
if I get it running good and work the kinks out i'd love to have some of you on inforoo help (by visiting and/or contributing show reviews, videos, images, etc.).
check it out and let me know initial impressions. only 3 posts so far but i plan on updating it a lot.

Not a bad start. I'd check it out from time to time. If I had a complaint, it would be that your writing could use a wee bit of tightening up in parts (but I was an English major, so I might be over-critical when it comes to grammar and such), but overall, I think you have a really nice conversational tone. (I particularly liked this line: "It seemed like it would be hard to live up to the energy and intimacy of their album, “Ode to Sunshine”, but on a chilly February evening in New York City the band lived up to all the hype (that I had built in my head).")

Thanks for the feedback. Thats exactly the kind of stuff I want to hear.
Also - keep in mind that those three posts (specifically the review) were things I wrote up in under 2 minutes just so I could have content on the site. Like I said, I'm still figuring out a lot of the kinks and workings of this blogging system - so my writing wasn't the highest priority.
I plan on re-writing the show review........I know it's poorly written. I just wanted to try posting a show review, download link, and regular news post so I could see how I want them to appear........but thank you very much for the help.
Also....if there are any other english majors, or people who like to write - I may be looking for contributions (like album reviews from past and present, show reviews,.....etc).
the layout looks great! i think one of the hardest things about starting a blog/website is finding your niche. What are you going to do that makes it stand out from every other music blog out there? You need to do something to make it memorable.
I'm just started a blog for the first time too, so i know how difficult it can be. Good luck!
I think it looks really good! For some reason I don't read many music blogs, but yours happens to talk about a lot of my favorite artists, including The Felice Brothers and Wilco. In addition to the fact that it covers good music news, shows, etc., I enjoy the Friday Five idea you have.
Oh, and the blog name is awesome. It made me smile the first time I read this post.

thanks a lot maddy........its good to know people are liking some of the artists. i've been working on it more and more and will keep posting news. i'm hoping that eventually i'll get enough visitors that like to send in setlists, show reviews, photos or videos....ya know? Kind of an interactive music blog. But yea.....a lot of my favorite artists have been posted about on the blog so far but i'm going to try and include all music news.
That is a cool site I will have to check i out often. Especially because all the music you seem to like I like too. Great job.
thanks dude....be sure to throw a comment or two on the site. and as for artists.....if they've played bonnaroo.....i'll probably talk about them. i'm going to be working on a ben harper/conor oberst article soon talking about both their new bands. anyway thanks......tell your friends....post it on other forums. spread the word lol
