Last week the producers of the Memorial Day weekend festival announced an artist list of 35 which included Afrika Bambaataa, Bassnectar and Carl Cox.
“As I’ve said previously we spend a lot of time selecting artists and DJs that will appeal to electronic music enthusiasts,” said Jason Huvaere, president of Paxahau. “And I think with the addition of these 25 artists we have done a good job of putting together a solid mix of local and international performers to take the stages at Movement this year.”

Every aspect of the industry is represented at this event. “Winter Music Conference is our unofficial deadline to lock down the majority of our lineup,” Huvaere said. “We go down there to meet with industry professionals and promote the Movement festival as well as the city of Detroit.”
