Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So, I've seen this mentioned here in the past, but never really gathered much information, so forgive me if there is already a thread dedicated to this - but have any of you ladies ever tried one of these?
First of all, I think the demo is hilarious. But more importantly, I'm curious to see if anyone out there has actually tried it (or something similar), and if so, what was your experience?
It just seems perfect for Bonnaro, but I'm hesitant to try!

Yeah - and what if you mishandled it somehow in the porto, and somehow leaked all over yourself? Plus, then you have to carry something you peed in around with you all day. I don't want to carry something I've peed in in my backpack, next to my water and beef jerky. Blech.
Yeah. I'd be worried that I'd accidentally pee on myself. Plus, I don't know if I loosen up enough to pee standing up. I can barely make myself go in a cup at the gyno.
Eh, I've been hesitant about these, but I'm willing to give them a try. That's why I was curious to see if anyone had actually had any experience with them.
I doubt that I would really use it that much, and probably not even in a port a potty. But I can recall many times when I just wished I could stand somewhere and go really fast because I was in a major hurry. It'd be nice to have just in case.
And if it works, it works. And if it doesn't, well, I can always clean off.

I don't think those devices are up my alley... so to speak. But I LOVE the picture of the woman who looks like she has a plastic member. I think I'll try my best to get to the port-o-johns. Otherwise, just take the same liberties guys do; find a semi-private corner, squat, keep the moon further back than the heels and you should be fine. The logistics of festival-going can get quite... messy.

I love to pee standing up.
But seriously, my wife has a P-Style. She bought it at Bonnaroo, I think in '06, and after one use was convinced she made a good purchase. She said it was very easy and non-messy to use and was nice to not have to sit on them port-o-potty seats. She used it every time that weekend and has since brought it on camping trips, hikes, and future Bonnaroos.
I'm only a man and can just pass on what she said, but I would (vicariously) heartily recommend getting one.
It's a wonderful idea, I may even get one, but....I get terrible stage fright, if you know what I mean, lol. But still, even bringing it into the porta potties so you don't have to squat over the toilet praying you don't slip. The squat with nothing to hold on to is like an art to accomplish
I think dcbee and visciouscircle have used the pstyle
yup, it was me!
My sister (alieblue) bought it in 2007 from a booth at Roo and LOVED it. She found it perfect at night when you don't want to walk all the way to the portos - the boys had a gallon jug they kept under the truck and Alison was able to use it, too! She had absolutely no problems.
So then for '08, my friend Shelly bought them for both of us (mine was a birthday present). We practiced in the shower which was key because we both needed to get used to peeing standing up. Shelly used hers at Roo, but I actually never used mine. I had really good luck with the portos and only found a couple gross ones (and then was able to switch to a clean one).
But they're very cleverly designed so are easy to use. It's directing the stream away from your body, which is much better than the funnel types that can overflow.
You can buy a cover for them or just use a plastic baggie. No need to have it float around in your bag. Though if you keep it at the top and tell security what it is, you might get sped through the checkpoint!
It seems like most people who have tried them have had pretty good experiences. I think it will turn out to be a good buy, much like the "privacy tent" we take with us every year. That thing is SUPER convenient while chillin at camp.
I bring one to 'Roo every year. I haven't tried the other ones b/c they seem much smaller and shorter than this one. The hose part actually retracts, but has a stopper to keep it from falling out. It stays in the zip-lock bag(Quart Size) it comes in and I wash it out everynight. Throw it away after the weekend and buy one fresh every year. It's soooo wonderful, not difficult at all to use...the cup part is actually fool proof with this one.
