i was looking for the thread about this fest and didn't find it so i thought i'd post it. i am considering going to forecastle this year. it looks pretty good. headliners are 2 nights of wsp, black crowes, black keys, avett brothers, also announced are zappa plays zappa, umphreys and ymsb. i may go because i have friends in louisville and also tix are only $100 which i think is pretty damn good. but i had never heard of it before my friend in louisville told me about it. anyone know anything/been there before?

Glad someone took the initiative to start this thead. I have wanted to, but haven't gotten to it, for the past week. I'm in Louisville, never been to Forcastle though, but know plenty about it. The lineups have gotten better each year and I believe this is the best yet. Good entertainment options in Louisville, especialy downtown by the riverfront and the Belvadear, where it's held. Any questions about lodging/camping/entertainment I could probably help. Come out to the Ville and enjoy what our city has to offer.
