Can we all vote? What are we voting based on, just the bands or the awesomeness of the poster too?
I would love it if you voted on the lineup, but obviously people put some time into the poster, so factor that in. Some major festivals have horrible posters, but great lineups. Like I said in the faq, I can't decide what you vote on. If you like one poster more than the other, that's your call.
I gotta counter that vote because while Alanis isn't headliner material Gorillaz,Fatboy,Massive Attack are. And they have Q-Tip AND they have Pharcyde. Great Lakes has more I wanna see. Poop. That Friday alone would be the best day of my life,But I think Exo nugged it out by a nose.

Great Lake gets mine for overall lineup shock value. Although Exosphere has an AWESOME poster and some high points, overall I would rather be at Great Lakes... I wonder how much tickets would be for that lineup.
Although I certainly like the poster for Exosphere better, and Opeth, Mastodon and Porcupine Tree...which are three of my favorite bands, I like the lineup for Great Lakes better on an overall basis.

i know how much time i put into my poster, and exposphere is kick-ass; Great lake on the flip side w/out a doubt has a better line up. that being said Primus and Tenacious D should be way higher, they are HUGE. and Daft Punk should totally headline over Outkast. System of a Down could be a headliner.

I like both lineups. Great Lakes has my favorite band headlining Sunday but Exo has more bands that I'd like to see. Overall, GL has a slight lineup edge all considered but Exo has some clever extracurriculars (as it were). All of that equaling out, somewhat, my vote comes down to Exo having an awesome poster. Exo gets my vote.
i have to go with exo. the festival name, the location and the awesome poster. plus they have rush and dredg on their lineup and some other unique bands. great lake has a deeper lineup with more bands that i want to see. but originality wins it for exo.

this is a cool idea, i like it a lot. ill give a breakdown of my decision...
first of all, my vote is more influenced by the lineup than the poster. i think Great Lakes has a great lineup, pretty much to the point of i dont think this could be a festival because of how good it is. highlights for me would be radiohead, gnarls barkley/dangermouse, hot chip, spoon, saturday and most of friday.
highlights of the exosphere lineup are less for me: MMJ, mushroom, massive attack, rush, galactic, 1200 micrograms and a few others. overall the lineup stands out much less, and there are band i would want nothing to do with including U2
as far as poster design and location though i would give both votes to Exosphere. the desert of new mexico sounds like one hell of a place to throw a party, especially compared to anywhere in Pennsylvania and the exosphere poster is far superior in design. for one the great lakes has a lot of the acts names split into two lines which just looks sloppy, especially when its such a big name. i do like the acts split into the days they would play though. the exosphere poster is just awesome looking, from the roots of the tree to the globe its holding it all looks good. i would say the dates for each festival is about equal as far as preference. if i was going to PA i would probably rather do so in mid summer where as if i was going to New Mexico spring would be more ideal.
overall i voted for Great Lakes though just because i want to see almost everything on the lineup.

The Great Lakes line-up is quite superior, but it's too superior to the point of not being feasible. I also agree with the previous comments that breaking up the artist names into multiple lines is ugly, to say the least. Love the other poster. Both also have interesting ideas about how "big" artists are compared to each other, especially in terms of the business/promotion side of things? Rush over U2? The Lonely Island over Dream Theater and The Roots?
The Lakes has a better line-up, but I'll pick Exo for the odder (yet appealing) choices, a more realistic line-up inn terms of how "big" the artists are from top to down, and the beautiful poster. Oh, and the better location. Erie? Wow.

Dang! This is tough! The Great Lakes lineup is ridiculously amazing, and I love that Bat for Lashes is on it! I agree that Primus and Tenacious D should have been much higher up, though. I love that Exosphere is set in Roswell, and I love, love, love the idea of an Improv Tent! Overall, there are less bands on the lineup that I would be quite as excited about, but I think Gorillaz makes up for that, and there are several bands that I would be thrilled to see.
I feel bad for Exosphere. That's a fantastic poster, a solid lineup and a solid location. It seems like a tough decision for everyone, but that decision seems to, more often than not, go in favor of Great Lakes. Which is, afterall, who I voted for...but I think Exosphere is very high quality too.
This is not even fair. Great Lakes could have saved space by just writing "all the bands." I'm voting for it, despite the fact that its complete science fiction.
