Would post this in another forum, but nobody checks it so I thought best place would be to post it here....
How would you guys feel about a new music festival in September 2010 with a curator to create a festival with about 25 bands for three days that you would have to camp out to?
Of course it depends on the music but if the curator is a legend and he/she brings the people he/she really wants to play and honor him/herself without your favorite bands, would you go?

Everyone checks, all the the time. I am sorry you don't get enough attention when you follow the rules, but I will not post anything on topic until you get a mod to move it for you.
Incidentally if anyone has an an extra 4 day pass for Phish at Red Rocks please PM me.

Alrighty wolfman, have you seen the forum where you're supposed to place this...there's nothing there.
steveternal, yeah you could say it's a camping version of ATP, but rather than a band you get one person, more like the meltdown festival. ie, ATP has The Flaming Lips, but I would have Wayne Coyne curating
bunny, this will take place in the southeast as you can see where I'm from

Really there is the AllGood page the Lolla page, and the Rothbury page. All of which people use all the time. I like going to camp zoe, and wish more people had heard about it. Od course it is not Bonnaroo related so I dont put it on the busiest page in the forum so I can get more readership.
Edit
The thing about Phish at Red Rocks is that I need to be out of Denver by Sunday unless I have the whole 4 day pass.

I mean it would definitely depend on the artist, but if it was a camping version of ATP, that would be awesome. Do you really think that you would be able to pull this off? I just keep thinking of Wayne's World 2 when I read this thread.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

In order for me to pull this off I would need sponsors...I would imagine bands will come if the money is right and they would want to play for a friend, hence the curator. If anybody knows anyone at the top of the food chain of some big corporation that normally sponsor events, please let me know.
The festival would probably be large enough to hold at least 50k.
Regarding Clapton, mine would be different as there would be a different curator every year, henceforth different styles of music would be the theme, so the same old jam bands won't be there. But I would imagine there would be some jam bands as you need one for every festival imo .
