Wow, good stuff. I completely forgot about this, as I've never gone. That's a pretty fair lineup: PBJ, Aimee Mann, TMBG, Yeasayer, Wreckless Eric making it worth it for me. Makes up for the lack of a Popped!, which I also wasn't able to go to last year, to my great disappointment. Last year I was mostly unemployed and missed EVERYTHING, even Radiohead (with Grizzly Bear!), this year I get to go to Bonnaroo, XPN, and (most likely) the sweet as heck Roots Picnic.
Ok. So hotel is booked and just waiting on regular ticket sales. Steve Wynn. Good lord. I was sold on just that. Now I can mark another name off on the bucket list.
Thinkin about covering this one... (It would be the closest festival all year!) I'm all about seeing The Hold Steady. Anyone heard their live album? It kicks serious ass!
but for christs sake, can we get a hold steady headline show in philly again please? the last few times have been festy shows.
^^^ THIS! When they finally did an actual non-festy show, they had the opening spot for DBT's. They have a show scheduled in NJ the night before this. Maybe they have something planned for Philly on Sunday?

Cheap! $40 for Saturday & Sunday? How can I miss this. We almost went last year for Alejandro Escovedo but held out and sure enough he played closer. But I love Philly. Always have. And my wife hasn't been ... Until next weekend. She'll love it too,I'm sure.
