All,
I would like to see if anyone knows what type of faucet they use at the water stations?
Why: I would like to see about bringing a short section of tubing to attach to the faucet to fill my camelback, or water jug. All I remember was chaos at the stations last year.
I suspect that they use outdoor hose bib style faucets, but thought I would check. I've seen a really cool adapter for Hydrastorm water bladders that fits over faucets so that you fill the reservoir via the drinking tube, not having to open up the backpack, or whatever to fill the reservoir.

Are you referring to the water stations that are housed and have troughs where people wash off? If so those stations have spigots that have threads on them that you can screw a standard garden hose onto. I always take an old piece of garden hose with the screw on female part so I can wash my feet without putting them in the trough.
Hey all, I have been reading some of the posts here regarding the garden hose attachment to a faucet. What I have for the camper is called a "Water Thief", you can purchase them online, walmart, RV centers or camping world.
i just cut an old piece of hose last year to bring.it had a female end on it.none of the faucets were threaded so i just turned it around and slipped the rubber end on and it worked great
I feel like the water station near my campsite had a hose already attached... or perhaps it belonged to someone that just left it there for everyone to use? We used the hose to fill up our bucket with water each day. The bucket was seriously the best thing we brought last year.

That was probably my hose, I left it there for people to use. Having a hose at the trough makes you everybody's friend.
