Biography: Passion Pit are an electronic, dance-pop quintet from Cambridge, Massachusetts. They were formed in late 2007, and have rose to prominence rather quickly, mainly due to a healthy amount of internet and press buzz.
Major Discography:
Chunk of Change EP (2008) - Chunk of Change was originally planned as nothing more than a Valentine’s Day gift for lead singer Michael Angelakos’ then-girlfriend. When friends of Angelakos heard the recordings, they knew there was more potential in the songs. The songs are dangerously infectious and very dancy.

Genre: Electronic, Dance, Pop
Similar Artists: Dan Deacon, Cut Copy, Lykke Li, Handsome Furs, Randy Newman
Similar Bonnaroo Artists: MGMT, Hot Chip
Suggested Listening: With only under 20 songs in circulation by these guys, it's really not hard to pick up their entire catalogue. Watch some of these YouTube videos, some live, and some others, to get the feeling for their music.
"Sleepyhead"
"Better Things"
"The Reeling"
Physical Reaction/Live Show These guys are known for their crazy live shows. I saw them in January in a hot, sweaty little club in Cincinnati, and the crowd was going nuts the whole time. You will be dancing your booty off the entire time. The guys really get into it on stage too, which is pretty cool.
Personal Notes I really like this band. They have the potential to be this year's MGMT or Vampire Weekend, as they are getting buzzed about like crazy in advance of their album being officially released. If you're looking to sweat, dance, and just have a good time to start out your Bonnaroo on Thursday night, then going to the Passion Pit show is for you.
Also, if you'd like to read an article I wrote on the band, you can check it out HERE.

^^yeah his voice is kinda annoying, but I think the dude can sing when he doesn't go into the higher octaves. His voice is tolerable to me on "the reeling" but "sleepyhead" gets on my nerves. Love the beat, but his vocals kill me. I'll check em out for a bit cuz I'm not interested in ZBB or Midnite too much. Thanks putting in the work DTO.
