good news about it is Beastie Boys are playing at a festival coming near you just about everywhere this year...I'll catch em at VoodooFest this coming Halloween
Not even close, im not really a Beastie Boys fan so im glad that I have another option during their set and I was hoping to catch Byrne but I thought he would conflict with someone I really want to see but he doesnt so im actually really happy that Bonnaroo scheduled it that way.

i went with im wearing pants because, well i am. its not the worst conflict because there are other times when i want to see 4 bands and thats just an impossible conflict, but this might be the worst head to head conflict for me.
it's a conflict for me, only because I really wanted to see the Beasties again, but I've made special plans for that Byrne show, so that's the one I'll be going to.
the only thing that sucks is that I'm not going to have a good spot for Phish.
It sucks, but I'm going to do all of Beasties and catch the tail end of Byrne. If it was Talking Heads, instead of Byrne & Co., it'd be a different story

worst ever continues to be Ween/Primus/Skapara/RRandolph/ latenight 2004.
This is the worst conflict of the Weekend for me, however. But even that's an easy fix since I've seen Byrne before but Not the Beasties and I'll still catch half of Byrne's set. So even that's not so bad.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I feel exactly the same... though I will add that I like Beasties (Paul's Boutique is an all time favorite of mine) but I'd much rather see Byrne in concert.
I've seen the Beasties, way back on the Ill Communication tour. Great show, but everyone I know who has seen Byrne says it's one of the best shows they've ever seen. I can't miss that.
However, I agree this is the worst conflict ever. Two of the top five names on the poster. Though not the worst for me personally. That would be the BB vs Levon vs Zappa vs Iron and Wine vs Ben Folds from last year.

Ween and Primus at the same time? The guy who did that deserves to be kicked in the nuts at least once.
I'd like to see the Beasties, but this one's an easy choice for me - Byrne all the way.
The only thing making me think about going to the Beastie Boys instead is the flood of people going from which stage to What stage after Byrne for Phish is going to be a pain in the ass. (sorry for all the prepositional phrases in that sentence)
The worst conflict I see right now is all of Saturday afternoon, no idea what the hell I'm gonna do. Rod Y Gab/Booker T & DBTs/Tony Rice Gov't Mule/Del Mccoury Wilco/Grisman
I'm thinking of just making it a bluegrass afternoon. We'll see.....

Couldn't agree more! That one was a big mess. We saw a little of each one, but it just wasn't enough.

Indeed, but it all worked out. Torrential rains postponed The Dead on the What Stage and delayed Primus until Ween was well underway. We still caught the last half of Primus, including Adrian Belew. Boognish provides.

agreed that this is definitely my worst one-on-one conflict for roo '09. i generally *hate* splitting sets, but i may have to make an exception here. right now i'm giving byrne a slight edge.
the worst multi-way conflict is wilco/decemberists/mars volta/elvis costello.
friday late-night looks to be pretty crazy; i'll definitely be doing some wandering there. saturday late-night actually isn't that bad for me (NIN --> MGMT).
