Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Like others have said the food is pretty decently priced and was surprisingly good. If your looking to save some money dont forget to try the $1 grilled cheese on the way into Centeroo. I must have ate atleast 10 of those things over the weekend last year.
One question though are you allowed to bring snacks like Pop Tarts or Granola Bars into Centeroo? I didnt try this last year but I thought I would this year to help save some money on food this year since I bought all my food at Roo last year and I want to take a different route this year.
just as a heads up...one arepa lady can be sneaky. Last year, we were pretty toasty, and went for an arepa. She was trying the you gave me a 5 dollar bill trick and you get no change...this went on for about 2 minutes...I then busted out the Spanish and told her not to try that crap on us, needless to say I got my change. I saw her try this later that night and the people were very confused...I yelled out to them that she was skeeming...I got dirty looks.

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
I'm not sure is this is absolutely brilliant or really gross.
Just stash those sandals in your bag as "backups" and they never have to touch the ground.
^^^ this
I have a paird of these Reefs I have had for a couple of years, but never worn them. I just used them to store alcohol for sporting events, concerts, etc.
What are the arepas filled with at the 'Roo? Do you have choices?
cheese - no choices - at least none that I have ever seen - but that sweet cornmeal with gooey cheese and some hot sauce is awesome
That sounds good! I have never had one but anything friend in cornmeal is great in my book.
I barely ate any Roo food last year. I had a slice of pizza and bought 3 bananas from the smoothie vendor. I was craving a salad during Sunday when it was so hot. Does anyone know if there is a salad vendor anywhere @ Roo? I just really hate to eat hot food when it is scorching outside with the sun beating down on me.
^^^ Followup to this... can you put sandwiches or trail mix into like ziplock bags or something, or do snacks need to be factory sealed?
I am pretty sure just the water bottles have to be factory sealed. I brought all kind of food in last year. I had sandwiches, cheeseticks, lunchables, ziplock bags of homemade beeef jerky. Right now I have 8 lbs. of roast and 3 lbs. of deer meat in the freezer to make homemade beef jerky for Roo! I could live off it for the week.
Last year there were a bunch of "healthy" stands near the ferris wheel.. they had salads veggies it all looked so yummy! i feel like it was average priced too.. I hate eating in the heat to.. i try to stay away from hot food..but i gotta have one of those huge corndogs!

I was bringing in beers to centeroo in my back pockets all weekend. Only when I was drinking inside did I get busted for having it, but he gave me 20 seconds to down it, and I did.
the pesto mozzadillas are amazing! the one i got was pretty big too. ate one on saturday afternoon and didn't have to worry about #2 until we checked into the hotel on monday.
best time to sneak stuff in is right before a headliner starts or anytime theres a long line at the arch. security is trying to get people through quickly and don't search much. sometimes a few people make a run for it, the rest of the crowd follows and security just stands back and lets everyone through without checking anything.

yeah that happened last year, i think before pearl jam, in 2 or 3 lines only like one out of every 20 people got searched, i mean the security guy was telling us we were walking too slow! haha, that's the absolute best time

Thanks I will be on the lookout for that stand. Hopefully it'll be in the same spot.

For guys: Place a pint of liquor in your underwear next to your junk. Pick a line with a female security person, she won't go near your crotch. If it's a guy, every time he puts his hand near your crotch moan a little, watch him keep his hands away.

thanks for the info on prices. And as an experienced older lady -- the best place to hid stuff is in your bra. Since I am top-heavy I have to wear a bra and it's a good place to smuggle, though sometimes you do get an overzealous security person who will frisk the chest too. Usually though they are looking for pipes (for tomacco use only of course) and they will feel the area between the breasts. But underneath is usually safe like a little plastic bottle (like a one shot)
