Crappy thread title but couldn't think of how to phrase it. Anyway I will be coming into Manchester from Knoxville and I have never come from that side before. I was wondering what the traffic is like from some people that have done it in the past. Anybody know of some info on the demographics of Bonnaroo like how many people come from various areas?

I will be coming directly from Knoxville (Phish) in an RV... I'm sure it will be ok until we get close to Manchester. If anyone else has any info - please let us know!

Which is the best way to get from Knoxville to Manchester? I've never been to the Roo, so I was looking for help with this.
The traffic flow out of Knox depends on the time of day that you will be heading through. Rush hour is rough on the interstate. It's not too bad once you get out of the city though.

^Rush hour isn't that rough, people here just say it is. I will be heading south through Chattanooga and then north on 24. I can't imagine that Phish traffic will make that big of a difference. There is another way to get to Manchester from Knoxville that involves driving east on 40 then going south on a highway that takes you through McMinnville. Mapquest gives these directions by default.

I'll be heading on 75>24 through Chatanooga. I think we are going stop Chat for supplies, gas, beer, etc...think this is a good idea? I really have no idea about anything when it comes to Chatanooga, but there is a walmart, and I'm sure there are liquor stores, lol
From there, its up to exit 112 and let the madness begin!

Gnome is right. Rush hour is as bad as Knoxville traffic gets, but it's not rough compared to other large cities. I didn't say that well at all in my original post.
