Pick up to 2!
This question is for what your favorite stage is, without any consideration as to what bands are playing each stage. I'm just doing this as this will be my first Bonnaroo and there are a couple bands I'm having trouble picking, but if one stage is better I'd go to that one.
I picked the What and the Other, but it's really very close, all five stages are great. The Other is nice because you can be far away and still see, and the What has screens and the best sound system. The Which can be a bit frustrating for shows that are extremely packed.
Also, the Sonic Stage and Troo Lounge are both awesome. Though the Sonic stage has had sound problems before.
What Stage gets way too crowded in my opinion. I don't think I got within 250 feet of the front all weekend last year, and that's not for a lack of trying. Despite being the main stage, it's probably my least favorite stage at Bonnaroo.
Which Stage is my favorite, even though it gets way too packed at certain shows. Death Cab for Cutie's set was a mob scene last year - I really have no idea how the Nine Inch Nails crowd is going to fit. However, I managed to get a pretty good spot for Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings > Gogol Bordello without much trouble, so it all depends. I also like the trees up towards the back, they provide some much needed shade.
I can't really tell the difference between the tents, besides the fact that The Other Tent is a little bit smaller than This and That. I like the tents because it's easier to get close, and the roofs provide a break from the sun (or rain, as it were).
This Tent has always been my favorite. Don't know why. Which Stage is my second favorite. It can be really nice when it's not overcrowded, and love I Which Stage late nights

I don't have a favorite, per se... but the Which is definitely at the bottom of that list. I couldn't even hear Damien Rice when I tried to see him in 07, but I know some people on here heard him fine and weren't really that much closer than me from what I was told... So I guess the sound is just relatively inconsistent depending on where you're standing. The lack of screens really blows, too.
Yeah last year the conditions at which stage sucked. There was a giant mudholes thoughout the the whole lawn. The bands that did play there drew pretty large crowds making it hard to get close and have some breathing room. Even acts that weren't that impressive (animal collective) it was damn near impossible to get to a spot to even see the stage. I always have great luck with what stage during bruce we had a big nice place to sit down and still be able to see the band without having to look at the big screens. During pearl jam we had a lot of people hanging with us so we hung out at the second recycle station from our camp. It was in the middle torward the left side of the stage. During PJ the other side near the arch looked like there was people crammed together all the way back to the arch with people on the fences even. We had a big open area to hang. Snoop Dogg was the first time I was in the pit. We were so tired from being up at MGMT the night before we retreated back to a spot where we could set our blanket up and sit and see maybe 700 ft from the stage after the show got going. The what stage is set just right for alot of people to get a great view! I still got mad love for the tent shows.
