Here's a question for my ladies...or gents, depending on how you swing.
I'm a Bonnaroo virgin and trying to figure out the details of my packing list. Do some of you veterans have suggestions on what type of undies work best in the scorching heat and long days?

i wear boyshort panties as well, but i also slip on a pair of bike shorts with wicking. it keeps my legs from chaffing, and allows me to sit however i like in my dresses.

I only wear VS cotton bikinis. I usually bring 2 for each day. I bought some VS cotton boy shorts and may try them out this year also. Never had chaffing problems but I am pretty small and don't have any extra flesh on my inner thighs.
^Yeah, I'm all about the VS cotton thong. Boy shorts give me massive wedgies, lol. I'm going to bring some swim suits too. If I rock the bikini top/mini skirt look, I'd rather have swim bottoms than a thong to flash everyone

This makes me laugh. After all, I think of a thong as nothing BUT a wedgie! ;D
Me too, I used to wear them when I was younger but I am all about comfort now! There is nothing better than some plain old Body by Victoria undies or some Haynes cotton panties!
TO EVERYONE: Avoid cotton!!! Cotton retains moisture and heat! (the main cause of swamp butt) Only use fabrics that wick away sweat: Wool, Polyester, or "Smart" fabrics.

I'm going to disagree with this... no polyester!
Cotton breathes well (thats why they tell you to wear cotton if you get a UTI or a YI), though they do take a bit to dry. I'll go cotton ANY day.
Cotton only breaths well when dry, completely fails when wet and stays wet. That's the exact reason they don't make any hiking underwear or hiking socks out of cotton.

for as hot as it is, i can't say i've ever gotten my undies so soaked from sweat that this would ever be a problem. and i tend to change at least twice a day. maybe it's just me ???

A thong is a smaller piece of material up your ass than the wad of cotton from boyshorts....lol....
Oh, and the whole cotton vs. other fabric..... I'm sticking to the cotton... that's what the whoowhoo dr. recommends.... I'm with Hippie... I've never sweated from my crotch.
