Okay, so I have a friend thats really wanting to go to Bonnaroo with me, but he doesn't get his paycheck until May 29. Will he still be able to purchase a ticket 2 days after they ship? And if so, will he get the ticket in time for Bonnaroo?

Tickets only take 2 days to get to their destination via UPS. So he can order and rest assured that his ticket will arrive a good amount of time before Bonnaroo.

I did this in 06.
Bought my tickets for 07 and 08 right at the beginning of June, received them a week before Roo.

This is definately true. One of my crew did this last year or the year before. I remember seeing her with a computer printout.
