Bonnaroo was modeled after Phish festivals. AKA if it wasn't for Phish chances are y'alls little slice of heaven wouldn't be around. To say that Phish is going to ruin Bonnaroo just means you haven't been to the festival before it totally changed.

oh the wonderful people of facebook. heres something i stumbled upon when looking at the new Bonnaroo update on there, theres pretty much one or more of these people for every update sent out but this guy seems really upset that people know about Bonnaroo now, unlike "the good ole days"
I was at the 1st and 2nd Bonnaroo. The 1st Bonnarro was probably the closest thing to Woodstock there will EVER be. It was amazing. BUT.....
1. I got my ticket for $115 dollars. how much are you buying yours this year for? so let's not talk about corporate sponsors keeping prices down. it isn't true. 2. Metallica playing Bonnaroo equals SELL OUT CENTRAL. anyone who doesn't think that Bonnaroo has sold out has never been before, or has been within the past 2 years. 3. The 1st year you could take anything into the concert area...beer/chairs/weed/everything. Now they take all of your shit so that you have to BUY everything that the OVERPRICED VENDORS have. 4. Also, the 2nd year is when they started the fencing in of the place. Centeroo used to be a place you could get to from anywhere. Now you're funneled in like cattle...RIDICULOUS.
I've seen Phish a million times already and WILL NOT pay that much money to see them again or any of the other bands for that matter.
Anyway, just to throw this out there, I can't wait to see Snoop Dogg! Also, when I saw Ghostland live they were AMAZING. I saw them at a small venue in Nashville, though, didn't catch the show last year. If they weren't good just the glowstick phenomenon would have made it worthwhile.
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
yeah, yeah, we all know about kanye - somehow, he was so over the top with this "fuck you" to everyone, it's almost excusable. i mean, shit, the guy wasnt even in the same state when he was supposed to be on stage - damn!@ i was more amused by it than offended.
but the police came out and phoned in a terrible, short, uninspired performance. that's worse to me.
